I am wondering if anyone is aware if there is a translation service at or around the temporary MFA at the Esplanade shopping centre? I have my affidavit, although have yet to have it translated.

my income is based on rental properties owned by myself. I have e-mailed the embassy asking what proof will be required. Does anyone know if the following will be sufficient:

1 Years personal and business bank statements

COPY of UK company reg cert

Letter from accountant confirming yearly income after tax

With regard to the financial requirements, I have a monthly income over 40,000 bht, however this is pais monthly into a UK bank, not a thai bank. I then withdraw on my UK ATM as evidence. Will they exept a years worth of original UK bank statements as proof of income?

Hi There,

Unfortunatley due to newely enforced rules, it seems I will not be able to obtain my visiting friends o visa in Hull, UK as before. I am now in a position where I plan to fly back to thailand early January on a 30 day visa waiver, get married to long term gf straight away and plan a trip to Savannakhet for a multiple entry marriage o visa. As far as I am aware this should be reasonably straight forward. As I understand I will need the following:

Passport & Copy

Passport Photo x 2

Original marriage Cert 2&3 & Copies

Copy of Wife ID signed

Copy of Wife House Book signed

Visa Fee

Is there anything I have missed and should I expect any hiccups?

I too am a fan of fishing for both the giant and common snakehead around my area, with plenty of good sized specimens available. Heres a few pics of some catches. Beats fishing stocked ponds anyday in my opinion.

If i opt for a single entry does this mean I can stay in the country without the dreaded border runs?

I live outside Hua Hin and would occasionally like the use of a nice swimming pool. I am more than prepared to pay an 'entry fee' or support them by purchase of food and drinks.

looking for help from those with knowledge of satellite receiver setup. I have a basic black dish PSI Star S7 dish receiver thta currently points to Thaicom 2/5c-band. I however want to move to Asia sat 4. However when I move the dish to the correct position I get absolutley no signal, same with all other sats too, asia sat 2, 3 etc so im obviously missing something. Is there anything I need to change in receiver settings?

On another note, channels displayed in the listings such as Money Channel and entrapeneur channel are not present, is this the norm or are some viwers of thaicom2/5 able to see these channels.

After study of the internet I have come to the conclusion that all 3 of my dogs have contracted distemper. These are rescue dogs from a thai dog home, so i assumed - it would seem incorrectly that they were vaccinated.

It started with a mild cough in one dog around a week or so ago, followed by loss of weight lack of appetite, pussy spots on the stomach and vomiting too. I am now seeing the coughing in the other two so i assume its spreading.

Can anyone speak from experience the best way of treating this and preventing in the future please. Funds are rather tight at the minute so a trip to the vets would rather be avoided, particularly as I only have a motorbike and live some 30kms from the nearest vet.

Any help appreciated.

I dont know the english name but in the next month or so id like to buy around 2000 of these baby fir trees. Can anyone suggest where and how much per tree in the hua hin area.

I been here for 15 months now, before my o visa I was on tourist visas. I have a monthly income from the UK and a house and girlfriend here and would really rather avoid a trip to the UK. Is there no way of extending even if it means a change in the purpose of my o visa?

After reading around 50 threads on here asking roughly the same question I still remain confused as to when and whether or not I can extend my Visa in Thailand.

My Visa is a Multiple Entry Non Imm O Visa. The visa was issued at Hull, UK, very easily and no real questions. Being as I am only aged 26, I guess it was on the basis of 'visiting friends'. The issue date was 9th of June 09 and utilized before date is 9th June '10.

My first question is does this mean that on the 9th of june this year, I can cross the border once again re entering the country and gain a further 3 months stay, effectingly giving me nearly 15 months stay on a visa valid for 12 months?

My second question is what are the true requirements for extending this visa without a trip to the UK.

Any help much appreciated as I am rather confused at the mo!

Hi there I am around 40kms inland from Hua hin and have just purchased a 12call internet sim which came with a vodafone usb dongle and uses edge software. It gets up and running but the speed is very unstable and drops completely very often, peaking at best at about 6bps?!!!

Is this just the way it is? Or is there a problem?

Any ideas what to check as im not the best at this stuff.

You will have to do a border run, unless you meat the criteria for an extension. To be able to answer that you would need to tell us what your multiple non-immigrant visa is based on: marriage to a Thai, retirement, work, .......

To be honest I dont really know what its based on. I got it in Hull and it was the simplest process ever. No one was really interested and it took about 10 minutes. It just says o visa, multiple wntry on the visa stamp in my passport.

Unfortunatley my first post on this forum isnt a happy one.

Several months ago I purchased 16 rai of land with the Sor Por Kor title around 35kms in from Hua Hin. The land had been sold 4 times previous to my purchase and was waste land, unfarmed when I purchased. I purchased the land for 350,000bht but have since spent a further 600,000bht converting the land into pineapple farmed land and built a modest house for me to reside in.

The problems began when the local village boss sent us to the land office to confirm the sale. Now I 'change' title in the shop before so I wasnt worried by this. However its now apparent that the boss has changed and that the new boss is very by the book. Every piece of land surrounding me has been bought and sold in much the same manner, all without problem, as it would seem goes on all over thailand.

However now the land office want me to go to the Police and report the corrupt transaction and all parties concerned to be locked up by the police. Now i am not keen on this idea as I will be making a big problem for alot of people and i seem to be the only one with the problem. The land office then want me to complete a paper they say, entitling me to stay in the house until I have retreived my investment through pineapple farming. Some advice says go ahead and complete the paper and some says dont do it. I cant help but feel im making a rod for my own back by completing it. They cannot lock solely my girlfriend for the purchase of this type of land?!

I am going to the land office again monday morning so fast informative replies from those with extensive knowledge on the subject or have encountered a similar problem would be greatly appreciated.
