just had my valves/tappets checked on my Vigo D4D 3lt at 200,000 km and they were spot on . A good indication that valve/tappets need adjustment is the colour or your exhaust !!    As for a recommendation - try James at Car Tech !

Jen THX for your comment. Did you go to James also? As tomorrow i go indeed to James from Car Tech as several people also recommended him in my FaceBook Oracle search advert. (y)

  2. In the Pattaya, Satahip aria.

Does anyone know know a good reliable garage or person on diesel car problems?

As i do have, when accelerating at low speed from 20/30 Kmh, some times a ticking sound in the engine room.

    I have a 2013, ISUZU D-Max, 150.000 Km.

I suppose this can be a problem on injectors, fuel pump or perhaps valves.

But the ticking sounds is only at this low speed range.

Please some advise where have a good mechanician or garage where no rip off tariffs are quoted.

  3. Does anyone know Mr. Sakda still work?

And does he know on diesel car problems?

  4. I think i missed the answer which is most likely the problem to the fast on/of switching of the pump.

The air-bubble in the pressure tank is gone.

So there is only water in the pressure tank underneath the the pump.

So there is need to empty the pressure tank by unscrewing the plastic covers like in the part print screen.

    There are 2 of these.

    image.png.9d0935f05b1a6044980bb66956e71209.png

Step 1 - take out plug or breaker from the pump.

Step 2 - close in and out valves.

Step 3 - slowly unscrew the low side plug. Be carefully as the tank is still under pressure!!! let the pressure slowly escape from the pressure tank.

Step 4 - unscrew the bottom and top screw totally and wait until water is out of the tank.

Step 5 - When tank is empty of water. Do these step in reverse.

Step 6 - Wait or pump refills itself and stop on high pressure.

Step 7 - Test nearby water tap to see/hear or pump runs with longer runs between minimum and maximum pressure.

  5. Alittle update on our pool.

I had our pool covered with sheets for various.

Here a few pictures of it.

    Pool2.jpg

So the sheets were almost 2 months after leaving us.

    P8270010.jpg

And so they looked after only 3 months.

    P9140029.jpg

And this was the situation after 3 ½ months.

    That was last 14/09/2009.

The sheets have become EX sheets.

Also the bags, made of the same polyethylene, where, ballast, gravel in to digest.

This is definitely not immune to the power of the Sun

Also the water level was well below standard.

But now back to normal levels after the recent amount of rainfall in the Chonburi region.

That is until now, I myself am still in the Netherlands, my opinion about this trial with the sheets,

    - Point: I had not anticipated that the sheets in 5 months were almost entirely resolve.

So I need another, better, cover materials.

+ Point: I had counted that much algae formation would be in the pool.

But this is not the case.

The water looks still completely bright.

The correct pH and chloride values are gone down the drain i know.

But the water is still clear that it surprised me positively.

Now we turn on November 7, 2009 at home.

So the first need to do is the remains of the sheets to take out of the pool.

Fishing is like gardening not my hobby.

Probably do I need to do a shock treatment to the water.

And I expect that I just try to get the water back on the proper pH and chloride values.

A friend of mine in the same Moe Baan has developed a different idea.

He has a frame made of blue PVC water pipes.

And this is he that shade cloth that you often see in parking lots and so be used.

This is hanging a half meter hanging above the water.

This is not waterproof but it will provide shade and will thus go against evaporation.

And leaves and other stuff flying through the air will remain there.

And it is probably a lot stronger than the dress of light quality polyethylene.

But I am not shore ore this is the right system to cover the pol with also.

This fabric is approximately one half hanging over the water gauge.

This is not waterproof but it will provide shade and will thus go against evaporation.

  7. I have now during our absence, the entire pool covered with 2 sheets.

    For that several reasons.

    Evaporation prevention.

And the 2nd reason prevention of dirt blow in.

Now, with the rainy season, the rainwater runs between the separation of the 2 to the overflow tank dress and then the excess into the sewer.

And then I just put the whole place stopped.

Yes I know the algae growth.

With the information I had received here and elsewhere seemed to me that all things considered for me the best solution.

So when I come back, and in between watching my friend there is one in sometime, where I discovered what the situation is.

I did not want to, may not be reliable pool service, 1600 Thai Bath by paying for one months or 6 while we are not there.

Shame on me that I do not trust Thai. :)

Also we than have no cost of electricity and water.

And possibly worse a broken pump that runs dry.

Precisely because the serviceman not come look when he realizes that we are apparently away for along time.

But if you are away over 6 months there too can go to much wrong I think.

When we get back the chloride and pH value are to cry.

Perhaps I should just water pumping and refilling all bad.

That cost me a 600 Bath water I treasure.

    45 m³ x 13 bath per m³

But first i try to restore the present water I think.

    And clean the whole pool.

It is never too late to learn.

  8. I have only recently gained some experience in swimming pools.

    The subject is now evaporating.

We had the same experience in the months April and May, our pool of Huai Yai (Chonburi Province).

Our pool has an L shape largest measures 6.46 x 5.35 meters.

But there goes a piece off to the terrace.

    Total 27 sqm water surface.

Mean depth 1.56 meters overflow + 2.5 m³ / circulation tank = total 41.7 m³

So the difference between our pools is a few square meters.

    P1310053.jpg

    SRP-16.jpg

    SRP-17.jpg

    P1310056.jpg

First I doubted that what the water went away it could not only by evaporation.

(My friend with the same pool who had the idea that he suffered from leaks in his pool.)

Our overflow tank was empty in 3 days.

Nearly 2.5 m³ in 3 days.

    Seemed very much to evaporation.

    So again refilled the tank.

Simply open the tap into the overflow tank and the city water runs.

    SRP-224.jpg

And just wait and see what happens.

And again the tank was in 3 days as good as empty.

So what the case shows nearly 2.5 m³ evaporated in 3 days.

This is a 800 liter per day in the air.

I had a conversation with a few people from a pool service company.

So they said, surprised, together you see that Farang says also that a 2.5 m³ tank is empty evaporated in 3 days.

The point of the story is the temperature and wind.

In April and May it was very hot and very little rain with us.

    So just evaporated.

(This is 1 of the same reasons I do not let service at the pool while we are not in Thailand. But that is a different subject.)

Now since we are away it seems to rain every day.

Yes, then the circulation tank / overflow tank is full.

Then there is certainly water evaporates.

But if a big rain falls then there may be 1 m³ of water.

And so there goes water out through the overflow pipe to the sewer.

So the conclusion on very hot days in Thailand evaporates there is indeed a substantial amount of water.
