I am surprised by these numbers. There appear to be about 8 million visitors from non-mentioned countries. And they're apparently "low spenders" (THB40k each, compared with THB50k per Chinese visitor and THB42 per Indian). Where are they coming from? But it seems like the high spenders (Europeans, Arabs - averaging THB70k pp) are dropping away by 2% this year.

imho, you'd do well to keep as much money as possible in THB - appreciation against GBP seems likely. You can also use www.caxtonfx.com to transfer money easily at good rates, once you have your bank account set up.

Confusion old pence and new pence. 1921 was old pence, 6d = 2.5p equivalent. 16 pints for a pound is 15d each - i.e. 1/3. I can't quite remember that, but was serving beer at 1/10 (22d = 9.17p) a pint in 1972 in my local. At 300p per pint in 2019, that's average 7.7% pa inflation over those 47 years.
