I hae the 12 Mbit / 1 700 thb a month connexion since 10 month. I'm in Sara Buri province. I'm a torrent user big time. I never had round the clock the service I pay for. anyway the guy told me torrent only betwen 0000 and 0600. The line goes often down for hours. And the up is limited to 30 k. But this is Thailand. You can complain whatever you want it will change nothing. "Go home" or "Pai naun loy" is the only possible answer. I noticed yesterday some traffic congestion. My explanation is more that they sold much more connexion that the adsl can manage or their andwith on the major oversea cable are inferior to their real sold needs. Choke Dee & Metta.

I'm sorry to telll that the opinions here doesn't reflect reality. It's a part of the Farang and Thai but iwith a very special profile : time to spend on internet. I have around me many Business man Farang who support Thaksin as he makes them earn money. Then the Thai : Bangkokers. This country is now leaded by the Bangkok's middle class and Bangkok is not Thailand. Whoever has a heart will see manipulated pepple dying for their ideas and this desserve respect.

Neither Thaksin or all the solutions after him are reality : because there is not a public debate on what is going on really in this society : the mai pen rai politic.

Just remember and look how those events are going to be analzed in one year : all is forgotten for "mai sanook" and "sabai sabai" reason. Easier to put under the carpet. Too much face involved. I don't see any solution except a deep cultural change in the short term (cause it will happen sooner or later in the long term like verywhere). One can always dream.

But the question is : does one want it ?

For myself I left my country for political reason (France) : I didn't agree at all with the way things were going there. I came for the mai pen rai spirit here.

Paradoxal ?

Here is my conclusion : there are no answers (or truth), there are only choices. Make yours and don't involve people with you.

I'm proud to work in marketing for 25 years : I can see we make good job. People mix good taste and health impact. Just to let you know it is not because it taste good that it is... good. And taste bad so it's... bad. Actually it's just the opposite. Look at the composition o the cigarettes if you see tobacco + paper = 92% (not here of course but n the western countries) ask yourself what are the 8% missing. By the way it's like food...

But yes, being a monk is supposed to mean you are a better human.

All over the world 90% people are not what they seems to be. Especially in the western countries. Who live by the image will perish by the image.

By the way yes the fact that it is in a Temple is spectacular. Yet there are good and bad anywhere big, small, white, black, police, Monks, man, woman... No rules at all. Use the mind to decide one by one. And if you can't just forget it.
