It will not be a red stamp. It will be a small blue stamp stating you overstayed less than 24 hours.
is this a problem when I re-enter the country ?
-
My visa, a 90 day stamp expires on the 25th Oct but my flight is on the 26th - I know there is a one day grace on leaving late so no fine to pay but will I still get a red overstay stamp for leaving a day late ?

You came to Bangkok and make no mention of the Grand Palace or any Wats or any other of amazing things to see here. Why come here to go to the cinema and go shooting, surely you can do that at home. This city is one of the most vibrant and exciting in the World, I really don't see how anyone could not enjoy themselves here. A good meal on the street should cost you no more than a few $'s and it's where the best food is to be found. You seem to have totally missed the essence of what makes this place special. Maybe you thought it would be like an oriental version of home, but it's a shame you seem to have missed out on seeing what an awesome city this is.

I feel for very sorry for the guy, he's made a stupid decision and is now going to spend the rest of his days in a dirty prison cell, for less than $15k, what a total waste of his life.

He shot her 4 times through the bathroom door, if that's not premeditated murder then what is ?

Everyone using Facebook in Thailand share this link, the expat World out here is pretty connected, shouldn't be that hard to locate this lad for his parents.

Need a 2 bed condo in Pratunam on a one year lease, older style would be better as the rooms are usually bigger, anyone know of any condo buildings that fit this description, please let me know the names of them if you do.

Plenty of teachers in the big International schools on 100k a month (not all are living on the 40k salaries that are paid to "pretend teachers"), 100k is more than enough to live a decent life here, it would seem your friend needs to look for better paid work, if you're properly qualified from the West then you can find work easily enough from here. There are clearly a lot of desperadoes in Western countries at the moment. I pity any teacher coming to Bangkok "to look for work". Surely you get the job first from your own country (including a short interview trip to Thailand, if necessary) and THEN you move over to Bangkok? I would not want to be here unemployed. Secondly, salaries for even well-qualified teachers are extremely low in Bangkok. I know two teachers, one of whom is highly qualified, who is living in an apartment that frankly would be classified as a garden shed in the West, since he can't afford anything better. This garden shed has air conditioning, but he cannot afford to run it. He cannot afford to eat anything but insanitary street food in Bangkok, and I am seeing his appearance and health condition decline every month. Thirdly, I pity anyone who has to teach Thai kids. You'll need a lot of patience and a lot of tolerance for repetition, repetition, repetition. Rote learning is the only thing that works here. You can forget about asking Thais to think creatively. Simply asking them to do that will result in puzzled expressions and silence all round. -

should have served 30 years.. He got off easy
what a heartless plonker you are, the judicial system in this country is pathetic, 5 cops torture and murder a 17 year old kid and get bailed even after being found guilty, yet a misguided farang deals a few drugs and gets 30 years and you think he got off lightly ............ you're a joke mate

you can book with air asia, you'll need her full name (correct spelling essential) and Thai ID card number to make the booking - all she then needs is a copy of the booking ref number, done it for my wife lots of times when she goes back home for a visit, no need for the credit card to be shown with air asia

I find easiest and safest way is to have the SMS alert, anything moves in or out you get an sms immediately, worth the 20 baht monthly fee for the extra peace of mind.
how do you get the sms alert - do you have to activate it via online banking ? haven't seen it with my bangkok bank settings
-
Either book online or go via Thai Royal Orchid direct, I'd say your local agent is the problem, used my points many times without any real hassle.

It's a difficult place to get to if you don't take a taxi as it's a long way off the main road, it's only around 250 baht by taxi from the centre of town, takes 20-30 mins in aircon comfort, go another way and you may save a 100+ baht after bts then bus then motorbike taxi but it will take forever in the heat

Anyone got a re-entry visa at Don Mueang lately, are they still doing them there or is it a chance they'll be closed ?
