  1. I have spoken with my friend and here are somethings he has clarified;

The £10,000 was taken from his personel account, when she had his atm,as he couldnt get to the bank! :annoyed:

The female has 51% of the land and 49% of the company the other 51% is shared between his 2 daughters 1% each (english) 2% shared between two thai friends and the remainder is his share!

He has it sealed that she can do nothing without his signature !

Is it posible that he can give his share of land and company to his sister and she can take control of the situation and will not have to return to Thailand as he is very worried about the outcome to his personal safety????

Also does anyone have a contact number for Tony at Magna Carta?

    Thankyou all.

  2. Hi all,

My friend definitely does not want to marry and now knows all about her deceit .

How can we help him, please guys any advice about the best way to go about things I.e selling up and her getting nothing?

    Thanks all.

  3. Hi all,

I am preparing my wifes FLR/M application and have gone through all our paper work and although we have a pile differant documents, posted to to myself and wife seperately. I have come across one from the HM Revenue & Customs addressed to the wife headed Your Tax credits claim. I did look into wheter I could apply for it, however as the wife has no recourse to public funds the claim was scrapped. Should I submit this document?? Also should I submit 12 or so receipts from western union for monies sent to her family, spreading the 2 years since her being here? They have my name and address on them..

    Thanks guys.

  4. When my wife and I came through lhr we waited about half an hour to get to the imigration desk, i first gave my passport and then my wife`s along with her TB certificate, the officer said it wasnt required he gave us a piece of paper and sent us to the health control desk, about 10 metres away, there they check the certificate, or look at it, ask a few questions, what is your address and telephone number in england, nothing to worry about all quite friendly and then stamp the arrival card and the piece of paper given by the immigration officer, then its off to row 19 i think, no body was in front of us as its just for health control where the passport is stamped and thats it.

    good luck for the future.

  5. Hi all,

Firstly thanks to you all for the good luck and best wishes on our sv success, it is much appreciated..

I received a phone call today from the health control unit at Heathrow airport, they explained that Goi my wife had entered the UK without the necessary health clearence!! What the f--- are they on about I thought.. We have done everything they wanted and all was cleared on arrival at Heathrow. She explained that we would be hearing from our local health authority to have a second TB test done.

Ok what ever..... Then a second phone call from Torbay hospital, your wife must come in for a TB test, after I explained the situation about my wife being pregnant and the tests (sputum smear) had been done and this had been satisfactory, for her visa application and heathrow immigration and health control, she explained that now the UK is not accepting the BKK TB test certificate as they can be forged there for all people staying over 6 months would have to be re checked on arrival to the UK.

So I said to the lady at hospital, ok no probs we will come and have the test re done but my wife is pregnant and therefor cant have an xray, will it have to be the sputum smear test again? ( not a nice procedure for a pregnant girl). she replied.. No problem I will send her an appointment in 5-6 months time...then we can do an xray safely...

What a pile of crap... I still cant get my head around this..

  6. I would like to thank everyone in this forum for their help and experiences with regard to the visa system. I have been an avid reader for sometime now and have taken everything in that i have read on here, which now i know has been so valuable to me.

We arrived at Regent house on fri 5th may at 2.15 pm with everything in hand and nicely bound, we had about a 20minute wait and then our number was called, the girl behind the desk was very friendly and checked off all of our enclosed information and certificates, she gave us all the original documents back except for the TB test certificate saying this was the only one required. All in all we was there about an hour including waiting and getting every page in my passport photo copied.

She explained that every settlement visa definately required an interview and we would hear within 10 days, great i thought, then she i will be right back... :o Oh sh-t...

What has gone wrong was going through my mind, the sweat started pouring... then she returned saying all settlement applications would be interviewed in july.... :D

We left there not knowing what was going on, i called Regent house the following thursday as the suspense was driving me insane,a women answered and asked for my wifes passport number and reference code for the application, I gave it and then she said it.

The visa has PASSED your wifes passport is ready for collection before 3.00pm...

I cant begin to tell you all how happy we both are, for sure the information on this forum made the whole process so much easier for my wife and I.

Thankyou all so much for your help and time in running this forum..

  10. Hi guys `n` girls

I am looking to get an electronic dictionary for my wife.

Cost isnt a problem, but quality is. I bought her a cyberdict,(not sure of the model cost 4,200 baht)and it totally packed up within 2 months,I got it at tesco lotus, when i returned it to the store and explained the situation to the assistant,he said"she has obviously been mistreating it"... :D It had a scratch on the cover!!! Do returned faulty goods come out of there wages? :o

What is a good quality dictionary to go for and where might i obtain one?

    Thanks for your replies..

  12. Hi all

My wife and I are off to Bkk in a couple of weeks to submit her visa application.

Question 2.19.. What language would you like the interview to be conducted in? ..Does having the interview conducted in Thai rather than English make a differance to the overall decision?

Does my wife need to have a good understanding of English language in order to recieve a settlement visa?

    Thanks guys...
