  1. I cant believe you guys live in thailand and you are eating meat pies :D

ooh well i guess each and every one to them selves !!

    just my thoughts......

at a guess i say you haven't tried one yet. you don't know what you are missing. it is also amazing how many people eat thai food that live in other parts of the world.

Well that is true sammycic i dont know what I am missing because i have not tried one yet , maybe I am just not much of a pie lover , I do go to Buriram now an then , maybe Ill pop in one day and see what the fuss is all about :)

I just find it hard to eat western food now , its so plan and boring ...

I hope I dont offend someone in saying that , i sure do have to kind of way lately...

I am sure no one will be offended - but why read about "Buriram Pie Man" if you have no interest in pies or Western food ? :D

  2. Normal price in a private doctors office is 50 bth.But what do you mean with esaan? The name is Isaan.

Issan, according to who ? You ? or some other Thai guy with a PHD in English. Try a phonetic pronunciation and spell from that as I have and you will come to the same conclusion. I will make my own spellings of these arbitrary words and you and all others casn do the same. My thirty-five years teaching English quakifies me to do that.

I am speaking in jest here bellagrego, so please don't get hot under the collar.

What quakifications do you actually have?

None in word processing, obviously :) .

(I am only jesting as well)

  3. Good effort Glegalo. A firm statement followed up with at least 10 spelling or grammatical errors :D

'Chaimai', I think you're being a little harsh on someone who, obviously, English isn't their first language. Shame on you.

Only joking. I've been wanting to say that about many English speakers/writers on 'Thai Visa' over the years. 'Glegalo' we know what you mean.

Fair comment. I shall also have to make sure I use the spell-checker on all my future posts - I would hate to make a complete pratt of myself :D

Oh Bugger ! I used the computer while the missus was logged in. What a pratt ! :)

    Regards Chaimai

  4. I feel sorry for the Guy - I think he felt too old to get a Job, and he wanted money for his Thai wife and Baby. I think he was desperate. 5 Years is not very long, and he most likely will get out sooner for good behaviour, lets hope he sorts his life out for when he gets released.

    a compassionate and intelligent post.

    Compassionate indeed. Intelligent NOT !

This guy is fcuked and will not be allowed back to Thailand. His one (maybe not just one) act of stupidity means that he lost contact with his wife and family forever. If this guys solution to supporting his family was to rob a bank I am sure he will be fully capable of sorting his life out !!

Hello ! Wake up and smell the coffee. His life is over.

(unless, of course, you think his Thai wife will wait 5+ years for him and then Thai Visa members will club together to buy his wife and family air tickets to the UK. Oh, and a bit more to buy them a house and put a bit IN the bank - I would like to see him try and open a new bank account somewhere "occupation, Sir" )

  5. At least he had a shot at it. Some people jump off buildings. Of course it was a stupid thing to do but I can sympathize with him. It would be a sad thing to be backed into a corner with no way out.

I don't think that is an appropriate phrase :) . I know people that I worked with who suffered the trauma of bank raids. In at least one case it ruined their lives.

This idiot had no right to impose terror on others to get cash to make up what he failed to earn or plan for. He committed a serious criminal offence and is a w4nker of the first order and he hope he gets what he deserves - a custodial sentence.

I do agree that his plight may be better served from the comfort of HMP.

  6. He also does brown sauce which I tried yesterday and its Exactly like HP but at 50b rather than 120b there is no way I will be buying HP again I couldn't tell the difference.

I think I will put some in HP bottles (made of plastic now) - that way, psychologically, you still think you are getting HP but you are 70 Bt better off :)

  7. a friend called me from pattaya to ask me if the girls could take credit from his phone. his "lady" was messing around with his phone for sometime which was ok but after she was gone he checked the phone and seen these numbers *112* and 200baht missing from his credit beware this is the BALANCE TRANSFER SERVICE and as we all know the girls never miss a trick. :)

It would only ever happen once !

  8. Im pretty sure that stuff isnt possible on 500 baht per day. Perhaps this thread should be re-titled "How to live off 500 baht per day and still have a good time" :)

There are many day swhen I live for less than 500 Baht.

There are many days when I live for more than 500 Baht.

  9. As i say in a previous post, Hang Dong, Chaing mai was cheap and good quality stuff, i was shipping 1, 40 foot container a month when things were good, stopped doing it about 5 to 6 years ago, bet they are struggling up there these days with the exchange rate as it is.

I still have 150 cartwheels stored in Buriram.

    Hi Thaicoon,

Not sure, but I may be looking for a cartwheel in the near future. What size and what price.

    PM me if you prefer.
