  1. Man

    first, stop panicking,

your most worry right now should be chlamydia, trich and claps.

get Flagyl for trich, and Azithromycin for chlamidia,

I think they have generics here, called something like Azicin for Azithromycin and Flagyl is availavle here it's actually Metronidazole.

Flagyl you can buy by the pill, you need 2g as one dose, so 5 pills 400mg each. thats about 50-60 Baht here.

But check the dosage on the Web, don't ask the pharmacist, they may not know.

As for Azithromycin you need 1g as one dose again to get rid of Chlamydia. a pack will set u back 200 - 300 baht. depends on where u buy

Check the dosage on the Web again.

it's best not to have sex for a week, don't know if you can accomplish that :)

The reason is as the doctor explained it to me some time ago is that, you take the treatment as a single dose but it will take a few days for the meds to do the work.

    shit happens

    Good luck

  2. The southern Muslim should have some gratitude to the Thai people and especially the <reference removed>. Thai people take them in, provide shelter, and protection from the Malay bandit. Thai people even allow Muslim to buy land (unlike Farang), and allow them 100% freedom to settle in Thailand with equal voting rights as Thai people (go ask a Kurd or Tibetan if they can vote). Give them an inch, and now they want a foot. What's next? A mile? ? ? Just imagine this story. A man was on his way back from market spot a helpless and homeless dog ran over by a bus. He pick it up, carry him home, nurse it, feed it, and provide a small shelter at the back of the house for the poor dog. He even provid it the freedom to roam around at will; unlike the chicken & pigs the owner kept. The dog survived and grew stronger everyday due to the celestial love given by the owner of the house. However, the dog think to itself. If I can chase the owner away, I will have the whole house to myself and all the food from the fridge, plus be a master of the chickens and pigs. So it began to bite the owner, trying to chase him off the house. This is no Aesop Fables or George Orwell, but kind of similar to the situation in Southern Thailand right now.

    are you Thai?

  3. Mr Assange is a personality that is not unusual to find here in Thailand actually.

Yes and they are usually found falling off a bar stool on Soi Bukou in Pattaya. :D

    what a spiteful pathetic comment,

you probably forgot that people in  glass houses...

or may be you alcohol influenced brain cannot function properly?

or may be you are Swedish?

    then I rest my case

  4. it's going to be a case observed internationally and by the UN. No need for whining. It's going to be based on facts and not fictions.

If the US tries to get tricky it would lose more than it could chew.

It will be a very interesting case.

that would be an example but i doubt it

    too much politics involved;

I also doubt that VB has nothing  to do with CIA  just as well as with ..... KGB ?

There are many more high profile crooks from Russia and  the former Eastern block, wheeling and dealing all over the world arms, people, whatever

Why is it not of any concern of the US?

I know the answer,   here it is  -  "Well, we are trying blah blah blah "

Oh good, why don't u guys try to do it  right this time?

    blah blah blah

  5. Can any Thai national apply for and get a Montenegran Passport ?

Or is it only Thais running from justice?

Do Montenegrans visiting/living in Thailand have to do border runs or are they exempt, like the Russians ?

    :jap:

I assume only the Thais (or other nationals) who have a briefcase full of cash and promises of investment (and the financial clouth to back it up) can apply for Montenegrian citizenship...

On the "Russians": what makes you think the Russians don't have to do border runs over here? I can't believe that the Russians are treated any differenly/better than the rest of "us". Can anybody confirm this? Just out of curiosity, so to speak.

I have traveled with hundreds of Russians coming to Thailand. They all appear to go to "Visa on Arrival'" They are handed paperwork on the plane and they have to pay for a 15 day visa.

I have made about 7 visa runs and never once did I see a Russian national on the mini bus or coach I traveled on or any other vehicle at the border crossing.

I did meet a man from Liverpool who told me he had lived in Pattaya for years and he had NEVER done a visa run - Because - he had a Russian friend. He gave 1,000 baht to his friend and his passport and he "got" the visa extension done with the "batch" of Russian ones that were all processed "somewhere"?

I have also "heard" the Russian Govt. paid off the Thai Govt "allegedly" to basically not have to bother their nationals with this "ripoff/waste of time" that the rest have to suffer.

I could be completely wrong and imagined all this.......but since this is basically a "VISA" website - some one might know the real story.....

or have I opened a can of worms on this and started a new thread.....oh god.........

p.s. I have never seen an Indian national (suit salesman) on a visa run.......

Lonewolf , to clear up your confusion here is the info.

The Russians get a 30 day tourist visa, no VOA since 2007.

My ex is a russian woman, that makes my daughter half-russian, and they visit Thailand once in a while.

In the future, plz try get your info straight.

  6. Why are these crazy stupid foreigners allowed to post crab sh*t like this in this forum. You only follow their relationships to now at what level they live here,,, the gutter I suppose

I can't believe this! Who are you to say none of this is true? If only part of it is, then it's really bad.

what about some sympathy/ compassion? How can you possibly believe someone made this up?

Maybe not posting and just keeping quiet would be a good idea

Being shot is not justified and your comments indicate how low you are on the scale of human compassion

this is probably some stupid A** local idiot who thinks that anything bad or really bad done to a foreigner in this place is justified

and if you let it out in the open, god forbid, you are tarnishing the "squeaky clean" image of the country.

n your dreams dude or whoever you are.

  7. Gee I'm old enough to remember what happened in Chernobyl, Ukraine.

Those Soviets were not newbies by any means as far as the nukes were concerned.

But their safety measures failed due to personal negligence, human error, faulty notification system or whatever.

The magnitude of the disaster was horrendous.

Now from what I have heard they find mutant frogs, snakes with 2 heads and strawberries grow the size of an apple down in that area.

If the nuclear disaster strikes there is no effective way known to deal with it.

In short, it's a very dangerous game they want to play.

  8. I have switched to iMobile 3G from DTAC.

the coverage is spotty and that sucks, but where I live the  signal is OK, though when you are in a conversation the connection gets dropped rather often.

I find it much cheaper than DTAC Happy plan whatever was mine. They don't round up  minutes, if you talk for 10 secs this is what is debited from your account. - 10 satang.

I can watch youtube most of the time,  the connection is stable. I use it a lot to run my Internet Radio application, works great for this kinda stuff.

the connection I get is HSDPA which is an  enhanced 3G type. Oh WOW!! :)

If the coverage was wider it would work just fine for my needs actually.

I know that Vietnam is on 3g for some time and 3G is actually being replaced by 4G all around the developed world.

But we've got what we've got and unfortunately it doesn't seem like much.

So, let's enjoy antiques -  2G, GPRS and Edge while we still can LOL.

People in some other countries cannot anymore, what a pity, ( pun intended) but I doubt they envy us 555.

  9. look at this site

    Thai GDP per capita

PPP - purchasing power parity is a computed figure that is adjusted based on the cost of living in a given country (food, rent, services etc.)

As a rule, for developed countries PPP per capita is lower than the Nominal GDP pc.

for the developing once it's the other way around.

So, if you want to know the real average (not the adjusted one) then GDP (Nominal) Per Capita it is.

I know that the girls working at 7/11s 108s and other similar places get about 6 000 THB a month.

a nurse at a hospital about 15 000 THB (no less than a Bachelor), which is considered not bad in Thailand even in BKK.

My GF who works for a thai - chinese company in BKK - around 20 000 THB (a logistics office worker), also a BA.

Most BA graduates who start working at the banks, offices and such get around 10K a month give or take a few, unless it's a solid International outfit, then we are in the range of 30K right from the start.

That is all in BKK. Have no info on the employment compensation in other part of Thailand but I would guess it's very very diverse.

  10. I remember a little story that  a Thai woman told me sometime ago.

I cannot remember the exact  conversation but nevertheless.

Her cousin and her cousins husband who is with some law enforcement agency they all went to a rest have some dinner.

The guy orders a plate of sea food, shrimp or crab cannot remember,  but what I remembered well is that they brought him a portion that he thought was too  small.

So, he starts yelling "What am I ? A farang."

    case closed

  11. i love thai girls and always treat them with respect!  i would never say such a thing to offend someone... but lets be honest have you ever seen it? long toe nails? not to make a big deal out of it but its just something that looks discusting yes...

Discusting as extreme long finger nails, or dirty looking dread locks, or sweaty singlets, or dirty worn out jeans, etc.

You see where Im going with this?

    ;)   ;)

Judging by your posts I see that you are going nowhere with anything . are you Thai?

If you are then before you get on the forum like this one you should learn that pple are entitled to have their own opinion and express their views.

If you have nothing valuable to add to the discussion, say nothing,  and I suggest som tam to calm your nerves.

As far as the toe nails are concerned, well I have seen those and I think it depends how long, how young( the person not the nails ) and what the toes look like.

If it's a flat footed chubby woman over 30 with splayed toes yeah, it doesn't look cute at all, if it's a pretty young student  then it's a whole different matter.

  12. I believe that many people are much misinformed or just don't know whats going on with the red movement

both in the past and present. Myself included.

A few weeks ago I asked my GF, who is from the South, 30 yo, Uni educated and holds a decent job in BKK, what she thinks about the reds.

Her answer was "They are stupid" , I said, OK, but can you tell me why you think they are.

and she says "Well, I don't want to talk about it"

    Done.

Avoidance aka head in the send is a cultural thing. I'm not the judge of whether it's good or bad but it certainly have caused and will again the troubles that ppl of Thailand face.

  13. Proportionally speaking..for the size of its population, geography, and its historical centrality to Asia..China's tourism should be way more than "4th" in the world.

Also, most of the tourists going to Israel are mostly the well off Jewish immigrants who have lived for generations in the U.S., Europe, etc.. going back to the "motherland" to visit. You won't find many tourists at all outside of that demographic.

Proportionally speaking..  you don't have a slightest idea what you are talking about.

I have been to Israel and my cousin goes there once a year and her friends go there once a year and she is not Jewish.

they go to the Dead Sea area resorts. Why? excellent health spas and great service. It's not cheap by any means, but apparently people feel it's worth the money.

Now, the majority of tourists that visit Israel come from the US and Europe and they are TOURISTS meaning that they come to see the country not visit some virtual relatives that you have

tried to mention in your post due to the lack of knowledge and information.

Be warned, if you stay long enough in LOS you run a rick of being disconnected from the reality as it seems being your case.

Thanks Jinting for the informative posts

...and despite all it's shortcomings I still like Thailand a lot.; though I start leaning towards Malaysia, have visited many times and love it...

    Cheers

  14. People get desparate when they have bills to pay and their pockets are empty

And I believe , in this economy, more and more people are faced with no money at all

Pattaya has been sliding further and further down hill over the years

This type of Thais believe where there are masses of farangs, there is easy money

Do you really think that young Thai men have allot of bills to pay ? They don't live the typical farang debt ridden lifestyle.

How has an expanding city been going downhill over the years ? If you want to see what a downhill city looks like then look up Detroit.

    I live in BKK

have been to Pats a numerous times.

The first time as a tourists in 2002.

I did like it and it was not so bad even 2 years ago.

Now it just sucks big time.

    To those Pattaya apologists.

I have seen the kind that live in that hole.

    Everyone has.

  15. when we talk about Seh Daeng assassination, the first question that needs to be asked,

    who would benefit from it?

It's not such a hard question to answer.

    Agreed.

Out of interest, do you apply the same thought process to the red shirt who had his brains blown out, or international journalists being shot?

    Who benefited from that?

It's not such a hard question to answer.

the red shirt protester you are referring to was shot right in the head in the midst of a battle.

the shot was fired NOT from the red's side, but it might as well have been a stray bullet, less likely though.

I don't know who shot the jurno guy, you don't know and  he doesn't either.

Most probably a stray bullet as well since the army men were shooting indiscriminately(watch a few videos)

Now, if you use your logical thinking, if you have any left that is, the question who shot Seh Daeng will not be

    a hard question to answer

Whatever you do, try to apply logic and  stay away from singha and chang, those can cloud your brain in no time.

  16. when we talk about Seh Daeng assassination, the first question that needs to be asked,

    who would benefit from it?

It's not such a hard question to answer.

The Gov will never admit anything. Why would they?

They are not THAT stupid (???)

There is no chance of an independent investigation in this country anyways.

  17. If Abhisit would just return to his country of birth and stay there, Thailand could go forward with its long, long reconciliation phase.

Who would you have replace him? He is about the best we can hope for.

    correction.

He is about the best YOU can hope for.

next time speak for yourself !
