  1. Does anyone know if I can get a double entry visa in Phnom Penh?

Thru an agent no problem in PP. Hard I understand to apply yourself and get a double there. about 3000 baht. Otherwise can get a double in VTE if you don't have a many previous tourist visa's.

Next time post in the Visa section or better yet search the Visa forum where there is plenty of discussion of availability etc.

The guy is asking for latest info , What does it matter to you if he posts here ? Ya not a od so how about you leave the mod duties to the mods . Dear me

Because there is much better current information and more informed posters in the Visa section including agents phone numbers etc...

I am surprised this thread was not moved to the visa section.

Powers to be are taking a siesta.

  2. I was refused a double entry a month ago in Vientiane, plus a warning it would be the last time they issue a visa.

Not sure yet what are the options, except from 'arranging things' with a lawyer which is easy just cost some $.

How many visas are in your passport?

In my current passport were 1 ED year visa and 2 Tourist visa before the single one issued last month.

That is why you were refused double entries. If you have none or one you should be OK.

  3. If you are willing to make the drive, the best pizza I have had in the CM area is on Doi Saket at a place called "Locanda Doi Saket." Run by an Italian man and his Thai wife, really great pizza as well as other Italian food. All pizzas are less than 200B I believe. Also makes a great tiramisu! To get there, drive into Doi Saket from the 118 and turn right at the street light, its just a few hundred meters down on the right.

I had a pizza from him about two years back. Typical Italian. Stunk.:bah: Warm wet ketchup on warm dough.

  4. I could have swore there was a very tiny tremor just now, probably just paranoid but will keep my trainers, passport, cash and laptop case ready just in case.

Good idea. I would recommend all foreigners keep their passport and wallet on them for the next few days, just in case (especially high-rise dwellers). It could save you a whole lot of anguish if the unthinkable happens and you manage to escape.

I definitely smell a mild case of paranoid starting to go around.

  5. Speaking with some thais this morning in San Sai. They were saying they are terrified about a Tsumani hitting Chiangmai. Had to assure them that they have more chance of winning the lottery than a Tsumani hitting. They seem to think quakes and tsumani go hand in hand. I don't know who fills thier heads with all this rubbish.

    Thai logic.:whistling:

  6. The BIB have been going about the LK area holding meetings with bars saying that that an increase in tea money would help them to look the other way. they are to meat with a certain group at a certain boxing venue tonight.

They must either really like me or be setting me up.

No such conversations in my bar, and if they came I would probably just give them the extra money anyway, it's not worth the hassle for the peanuts they ask for now.

They have been going around warning that a bigwig BIB is in town so shutting early Thursday - Friday would be prudent.

It may depend on which side of the street your on.
