  1. It will remain one of life's mysteries then.
  2. Can my wife gift me her motorcycle? So it can be put in my name.
  3. Rayong immigration is where I read the requirement. I was waiting to clear up why my 90 report online was rejected. I was out out of Thailand in part of March returning th 29th. I should not have attempted an early online report. My interpretation is if you are out of your province of residence for over 48 hours you are required to let immigration know. it has nothing to do with Rayong per se. Also it has nothing to do with my 90 day report. Just something I read while waiting for my turn in line. Many O visa holders travel all over Thailand, I doubt they report to the local immigration office.
  4. Yes, if you are in Thailand on an O-type visa and plan to stay in a province other than your registered address for more than 48 hours, you must report your new address to the immigration office. This is a requirement under the 90-day reporting rule. The 90-day reporting rule requires all foreigners with an O-type visa to report to the immigration office within 90 days of their arrival in Thailand and again every 90 days thereafter. Here's a more detailed explanation: 90-day Reporting: You are required to report your registered address to the immigration office every 90 days. This helps them keep track of your location and ensures you are not residing illegally. Address Change: If you plan to stay in a different province for more than 48 hours, you must report your new address to the immigration office. This ensures that your records are accurate and that you are complying with the reporting requirements. Failure to Report: Failure to report your address change within 90 days can result in penalties, such as fines or deportation. This came as a suprise to me. I went for dental work. Stayed in a hotel.
  5. I started getting them in 1974, not sure what the controversy is all about. Had the dragon re inked last year because it had faded so much.
  6. What suprised me was that the visa is good until October 26th 2025, 13 months. My assumption is that is based onthe date is when the 90 day expired in 2024.
  7. I was required to wait 60 days from my arrival date to apply for my one year extention. Recieved my retiremennt visa no problem Septeember 26th.
  8. Based on visiting Thai family. The funds required are a non issue.
  9. My original plan was to convert to a marriage visa after arrival. My wife and I just sold our house in the U.S. We have maintained our house in Rayong during our ten year absence. My Bangkok bank account is a non issue because I have maintained it for more than 15 years. ALso there are more than adequate funds for a retirement or marriage type visa. I origninally considered a marrige visa because there is no retirement for health insurance. However, I now understand that since I will be converting my non-O in Thailand, Medical insurance is not an issue. Also the hoops one has to jump through to obtain a marrige seem considerably more with pictures, home visits ETC. In the past I always held a retirement type visa. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Move along . . . . nothing to see here.
