I'm thinking 14 was probably a few more than the amount the vehicle was designed for.

This older Toyota  has 3 row of seats that can accommodate  3 adult per row, so 9 adults plus  up front the  driver and 2 adults. ( note: the middle seat is small )

So 12 occupant is normal.  As children are smaller they often fits 4 in the back rows . So 14 is over the safe limit.

Not really safe but it is a fact here.

  2. I had the same experience with non track-able small items.

They all disappear after arrival in Thailand.

I had to wait  a long time ( more than 60 days ) to be able to request a refund but in the end I got the refunds.

Funny that my missing items where also sent to Malaisya and Vuanatu first.

No problems with track-able items , so now I order only is taking is available.

  3. From a good friend experience 4 years ago at Chiangmai Immigration.

He had a FCD account in USD at Krungsri Bank ( know as Bank of Ayuthya ).

    Main branch on Taphae Road.

No passbook for FCD account at the Yellow Bank..

He had to speak to a superior officer to inform him aout this bank FCD no passbook.

The officer requested a letter from the bank manager attesting to thyme fact that there was  no passbook for this FCD account.

He finally got his retirement extension.

I suggest that you may ask your bank manager to write a letter for you explaining FCD account has no passbook.

Or maybe know Chiangmai Immigration is aware that no passbook account exist for some type of account.

    Good luck

No cold beer now on Thai Railways unless they have rescinded the ban after the rape case a 13 YO girl in 2014!

Yes, killed by a drunk SRT employee with criminal record..... and dumped outside the railcard.

Now everybody pay for that with lack of proper food and beverage service

. It should be SRT that should have to pay  the family of the dead girl for all their life.

    RIP little girl so sad.

Be aware that currently visa exempt entries are 45 days.

Also border bounce for visa exempt entries is 2 per calendar year.

Each entry can be extended by 30 days.

    Plenty of options now.

My recommendation right now is to enter visa exempt.

And if coming visa exempt, get a throwaway ticket  to board your airline if your return flight is 5-6 months later.  Have a nice stay. Better than Canadian winter.

  6. Like many countries the bus drivers are required by law to inspect the inside of his bus or minivan before locking the vehicle. A log book should be in the vehicule and must be signed with date and time by the driver.

It should be stated in the law that if a child die the driver will be held responsible in criminal court.

School should be responsible to hire proper driver with valid driving license or if private owner should be able to check the driver and that the vehicle is in good mechanical order.

Sadly when the next child die maybe someone in Government will act on making required laws and regulation.

  7. I had the same experience last month in Chiangmai.  I was driving in front of a branch  I had an account and saw it was boarded and sign removed.

I went to another branch and the   service people told me where my account was moved.

I still keep the same account number of the old branch . The service people were nice  and changed my bank book for a new one with the new branch name.

I think they have too much branches and with most transaction online they close branches with smaller customers base.

I wish they would send email or mail to advise their customer as they have the necessary information .

  8. A friend of mine had this problem in Chiangmai as he had the money in a FCD account at Krungsri   Yellow Bank) and there are only statement and no passbook.

He had to ask to talk to a supervisor at Immigration and was told to get a letter from the Bank Manager at his Krungdri Bank to explain there was no passbook.

He went to the bank and the Manager understood the problem and wrote a letter to Immigration in Thai language to inform them.

After many trip back and forward he go his extension.

Immigration Officer shouls be informed that not all account have the antiquated passbook now.

From my experience in the past, if you have returned the product through the official procedure and the seller hasn't responded after the 5 day period then Lazada should refund you directly and deal with the seller themselves.

Of course, refunds are a bit of a contentious point with their wallet system seemingly unavailable to non-Thais...

What a big surprise this morning.  I got a message while shopping to refill my wallet. It had only  1 bahts left in it. It was impossible to refill in the last 2 year for foreigners.

I just had to scan my passport and take a selfie and I can use the wallet again.

Their polittics must have cghanged recently.
