Were you worried about it last year? Why now?

Because since Trump became president, the mainstream media has been harping on about it more than usual. They want to blame the problem on Trump.

It's never going to come down and it will always increase. There's nothing that can be done and nothing will change. Find other things to worry about.

If breakfast is the high point and adventure of your life I pity you. So life is meant to be repetitive, boring, dull and ugly?

Enjoy the pix of your potato scone. You must feel terribly fulfilled.

Maybe we should pity you due to your limited understanding of life and what it is. It's quite simple. You're born without consent into a life with no guide or "job" description. For a very large number of people, who chose the wrong parents (parents in a poor country where most people live below the poverty line), having a meal and clean water would make their day.

Forget about pitying other members - what makes your life so amazing and what is the high point of your day?

I suppose it depends on your point of view.  You think you are healthy and don’t need medication; but big pharma needs you to take medication to start the cycle of dependency.  You might want to ask your doctor whose side he is on, and see if putting your hand in your pocket could bring him over to your side.

I don't have a doctor... the golden rule to staying healthy. I'll see one if absolutely necessary, after I've done a lot of research and there are no other options. Very little medication enters my body.

The massages are like any other cheap place.
    The prices are higher.
Despite the luxurious facade that suggests a luxurious place with quality facilities and massages, when you go upstairs for an oil massage, you find the same curtained-off tables you'd find at any other cheap place.

I tried once, but I won't go back.

It doesn't have much to do with the place, but who massages you. Some ladies are really good, some not so good. It's a lucky draw. If I find a good masseuse, I stick with her. If you're looking for a good massage, skip the pretty ones and the skinny ones.

If you're looking for other delights, go straight to Soi 13/1 where you can find private rooms for the same price as your curtained off tables, and with shower facilities too. You won't normally get a good massage in these establishments.

It is about 2100 km so around 22 hours drive.

When I was the only driver in the band, and had to get there, we just had to get there.

Set up the gear and then did 3 x 45 minute sets. Plenty of uppers on the trip.

Also did Oslo to Switzerland, with a bit of kip on the ferry.

However you title question leads me to tell you about a lovely Swedish girl in Sundsvall, but would get banned/deleted.

You'd think that Sweden was the last place to experience sexual bliss, with their renowned propensity for seriousness LOL. We're in Thailand, for goodness sake. If I need to reminisce about amazing encounters, Thailand would provide sufficient memories.

I still go with the training part, its the owner responsibility for what they became. I had a rottweiler that came to me at 1 yr old with issues, by the time I was done with him he wouldn't hurt a fly and was docile, goofy, and lovable to the day he died (best dog I ever owned - miss him every day). Wouldn't fight over food in a bowl, played with children, and even had pet cockatiels that would stand on his back while he smiled. Have had many dogs, I will never accept any aggression of any kind from my dogs, I am the one-and-only Alpha Male, period.

That's like saying loaded guns are fine in the house until someone accidentally kills someone with them. It's better not to take the chance with breeds that can kill, and your teeth aren't as sharp as the other alpha males that might like to compete with your authority. You didn't even consider that it's often strangers that are in danger, so even if they accept your authority 100% of the time, they might kill others.

Thai law limits their reason for denial to specific reasons, to prevent exactly the abuse  we have seen - "agent assisted entry."  "Been in Thailand too much/often" is not a legal reason to deny entry.

OTOH, "Only two land-border entries per year visa-exempt" is the law.   If that law starts being enforced, again, those who gave up their Non-O extensions and have been doing border-bounces could be in a mess of a situation - depending on the timing of the policy-change relative to their remaining permitted-stay / time to apply for a Non-O / start-over.

You're being a bit dramatic. It will become common knowledge very quickly if they start restricting visa-free entries. The visa-run services will know what's going on, and as previously done, they will put warning stamps in passports stating that you won't be able to enter again, at which point, there will be plenty of time to apply for a new Non-O visa.

So you agree .  He was found to have engaged in insurrection.  Your BS excuses don't negate that ; it  is what the majority of the court  concluded. There was no impeachment trial .    Hard to fail when it never happened . Just because R's and some of you Fascist lovers want to pretend he didn't engage in  insurrection and he didn't try to overturn the election has no bearing on the fact that he did both.

"As much as you and the Democratic Party wish it, it's never going to happen."  It already happened .

Come on Charles... Stop spouting BS. He was never charged and convicted of insurrection. Rather than BSing your way through, provide some evidence if you think otherwise. You're suggesting that others do some research, but you're the one who needs to do that because you're wrong on just about every point you try to make.

Trump has not been convicted of any sex crime and after the appeal will not be a felon. All politicians being popularly touted now are also serial liars.

Another bs Democratic talking point. If Biden's lips are moving, he's lying. He certainly has no right to be calling Trump a liar.

He was found guilty of insurrection by a court     try some research.

How about you try to do some research?

This is just another Democrat talking point, hoping that if they repeat it often enough people will believe it. It worked on you. He wasn't even charged with insurrection let alone being found guilty. He was charged (not yet found guilty) with trying to overturn the 2020 election.

Sure, there was the debacle of Colorado's Supreme Court concluding in December that the attack was an insurrection and Trump is an insurrectionist to take him off the state's primary ballot, which failed. Democratic governors appointed all 7 judges so that ruling was hardly surprising.

The Impeachment trial in January 2021 also failed. The article of impeachment against Trump was "incitement of insurrection".

As much as you and the Democratic Party wish it, it's never going to happen.

A friend of insisted on paying the official amount in USD, despite being asked for THB. Had to wait for 5 hours to get his passport back, that was at Poipet.

I used  to go to Ban Laem regularly, a lot easier now they have improved the road. The "agents" always asked for the visa fee in THB plus their fee for doing it, could normally knock a third off that. Used to be very quick, passport back by the time you come out of duty free.

I discovered this week that the visa-run price through an agent has increased by 500 baht since 60 days became available last week. The 500 probably goes to border officials on both sides.

There are hundreds of videos over the last two days from numerous sources. To date about $90 million has been offered.

Its extremely likely from the many reports I have read and watched that Kamala Harris will get the official nomination.

I have seen not a single reference to Hilary Clinton being involved.

I agree. If anything, I've seen more references to Michelle Obama and Gavin Newsom. Biden DEI'd Harris to VP, so they will have to suffer the results of their stupidity.

So now you are the expert? My extension is up this September. I've been doing them since 2007. Now I'm going to Cambodia and see what they will say. One can always go back to retirement visa extension during the 60 days.

This is a good point. Previously you had to start your Non-O visa application as soon as you returned as they needed most of the 30 days for the application. Now you have a month to decide what you want to do. I'm not sure if the 60-day entry is long enough to season the 800k funds, so an agent would be a good option.

The problem with Hilary Clinton is that she will be 77 in October. If she were to win against Trump, in reality she would likely be a one term President, as President Biden and ex president Trump are now, They are all too old.

IMHO, ideally the incoming president should be no older than 62, to become a 2 term president.

Are you blind? Have you seen the energy of Trump? He never stops. I heard he only needs to sleep 4 hours a night. It's not about age and everyone ages at a different rate.

It was a "filter" for the cheap and otherwise undesirable who couldn't afford an airfare but could manage to scrape together a minivan fare.

Now it's a level playing field again, and the (fake) Louis Vuitton crowd can now save a bit of their hard-earned and rough it with the balloon-chasers.

I don't agree with it being a cheap alternative, but the best option. For example, a trip to the airport, checking in, waiting to board and flying out, then repeating that at the other end is a lot more messing around, more time-consuming, and of course more expensive than a quick half-day trip to the border. Just the return trip to the airport, at a good price, would cost me 3000 baht (taxi), and up to 2 hours each way (from Pattaya). Of course, comparisons will vary a lot depending on where the people live.

Thats right, my last two land border runs were done whilst I was travelling under my Non-O Multi-Entry. I think Ill just take the risk and be the guinea pig, I trust the experience on this forum, if I dont get through Ill let people know.

A word to the wise. If you're exiting from a Non-O visa, changing to visa-free 60-day entry stamps at a border post, you'll likely have an extra fee to pay someone. I've been quoted 2000 baht at 2 different visa-run companies. I'm heading to the border this week. I asked the agent who I need to pay, to which he replied "You'll know when you get there". The other agent wanted me to pre-pay this extra fee.

Well as I said before, a link to the law is  one thing and will no doubt exist somewhere , but a link to  an official  announcement as to how the law might be applied , especially regarding repeated entries , along with any unofficial guidelines about  limits is unlikely to ever surface it will remain "up to them"

Yes, you're spot on. People keep referring to "The Law" when all that counts is how specific immigration offices, border posts and airport entry points apply the law. The law gives them wide-ranging power to apply policy as they see fit.

Ok browsed some and Thai examiner (12-07-2024) says the visum is for 60 days and cant be extended, so you must go out for another stamp,

which is then unlimited to do so. So that would be new again, they changed that within 4 days?

On the other hand I do see in https://www.thaiembassy.com/thailand-visa/new-thailand-visa-exemption-and-thailand-visa-on-arrival-schemes

It is possible to extend for 30 days for "a little fee"(?), Siam Legal controlled 18-07.

Also see in Thai e visa site, you can extend for 30 days for "a little fee"(?) PLUS the officer has to agree. It is up to him.

Only in and out, unlimited, cant find, but Thaiger, however Thaiger is doing the story of Tod.

Tod Daniels can you tell us where you found that? Appreciated !

I can imagine how happy the visa-run companies will be if there is no possibility of an extension.

Why are you asking me?  I don't make the rules, and I'm all in favour of circumnavigating them if possible, It will no doubt be useful for people who travel a lot , I couldn't care less if  somebody  expects or intends to stay here full time on visa exempt entries , its none of my business, and no skin off my nose, I'm actually  all for it.     but I think they could well be setting  themselves up for a bit of disappointment

It was a rhetorical question to your snide remark suggesting that someone was dreaming. Most people understand the most basic law of Thai Immigration policy - you can count on it constantly changing.

If you couldn't care less, why bother reading and posting on such a thread? (that's a question). I'm not personally involved as I've been using yearly visa extensions for 15 years, but I know people who will welcome this new policy - but they aren't dreaming that it will last forever.
