  1. I find hotel prices are just too expensive and in hua hin.. pattaya is half price for hotels. I travel with a family and need a nice place.
  2. I never spent anytime in pattaya until a few years ago. I do think it is a well rounded family destination with cheap hotels.
  3. he likes it! https://www.stickmanbangkok.com/weekly-column/2025/07/pattaya-this-week-3/
  4. Dusit Thani has released very good weekly rates. Around 23000 baht per week with breakfast during high season.
  5. I love the hard rock but no deals yet. Best pool/location in town.
  6. Any tips on which hotels gave good rates? I am 0/5 so far.
  7. Wifey is demanding a nice 5 star for the month (or a week) any good deals out there?
  8. 9 years old. Elementary school grade 4.
  9. Looking to move to pattaya next year for 6 months or so with the family. Any decent private schools for a grade 4 student? Not looking at necessarily an international school but a decent locals private school. One of our goals is for the boy to learn Thai. I will be doing home schooling as well.
  10. They are like 7-11 but more.
  11. Thanks for All the suggestions and ideas. Looks like the plan is shaping up nicely. We are going to possibly plant some durian trees and create a mini plantation in the extra land that is apparently very well drained and likely a good soil type. Nana Thailand is going to take some soil samples to the city to get tested to confirm soil will work for durian, if not we will plant something else. When I was younger, I used to stay on a durian farm in pattani (before all the troubles). Used to hate picking the durians off the ground. They are very tall trees and the durians would be imbedded in the soil.
  12. Lots of polite good adviise given by others… and then this comment.
  13. Good to know. In general my digestive tract is way better in Thailand than Canada. Food so much healthier and fresher.
  14. Anyone have issues with Diverticulitis In Pattaya and the spicy food?
  15. Really trying to spend the full time on the farm. Sisaket town is nice though. probablg just borrow a few puppies for him. Mom in law has a giant uncastrated golden retriever that is an absolute humping menace. We keep him locked up.
