  1. Can I stay in Thailand up to 360 days in Thailand with a triple tourist visa ?

    Here's how I reckon : 1st entry 60 days, then extension 30 days

2nd entry 60 days, then extension 30 days

3rd entry 60 days, then extension 30 days.

Then 3 consecutive 30 day stamps by doing a borderrun, which makes a total of (about) 360 days. Correct ?

  2. :o Obviously many people don't enjoy it, there seems to be little middle ground here.. People seem to either love it, or leave. :D

One day is more than enough, that's the middle ground !

  3. My serious blood condition was researched, diagnosed and cured by...ME.

I got on the internet (start by putting your basic symptoms into google and go from there) and found a whole world of information that you likely are not going to find in a doctor's office or hospital here. I use doctors for mere advice (as should we all) which I take with a very large grain of salt, and use them to order the necessary tests to make my own informed diagnoses.

The medications that I self-prescribed and took/take were successful and my condition is in total remission, thank you... :o

    Need surgery? Bumrangrad in BKK...

With a little bit more googling you might be able to operate yourself, just be sure that you apply local anaesthetics !

  4. Does the company use a different water cleaning technique than the usual drinking water companies ?

The company uses reverse osmosis as the cleaning method.

Simply put, osmosis is the selective transmission of water through a membrane. The selective bit is the water is transmitted but impurities are not.

The impuritities might for example be bacteria and virus' but will also be 'ions'.

This is all well and good, but leaves the water deficiant in 'ions', including all the minerals that you need to keep you bones and teath strong. OK you get those minerals from other sources i.e. food, but the problem with ion deficiant water is it absorbs ions (leaches ions) from your blood.

For this reason water treated by reverse osmosis (or de-ionization - another technique to remove ions) is not recommended as a main source of drinking water.

Reverse Osmosis and/or De-ionization should really only be applied where there is a real risk of chemically contaminated water.

For normal drinking purposes (and assuming no chemical contamination) micro filtering is perfectly adequate.

Example, if you are using rain water for your drinking source, a micro filter (3 microns) is perfectly adequate..... but then so again is boiling the water.

Interesting comment, Guesthouse. Do you know what kind of cleaning method the drinking water companies use here in Thailand ?

  5. What about those "Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water" automats, from which you can buy water for a few baht ? Where is the water being stored ? What about the quality ? Does the company use a different water cleaning technique than the usual drinking water companies ? I've looked at their website "watertechasia.com" but unfortunately it's only in Thai language.
