  1. I have never smoked/never will. And i know its not healthy and all that but i gota admit,i find it extremely sexy when i see an attractive women smoking a cigarette.I guess you could call it a fetish :)

  2. If you already have mtbike you can bring that along asswell, they charge u and extra one hundred baht to bring it on the boat,so 120 to there, and 120 back.

I cannot see the point of taking your own bike. On Koh Larn you can hire a Honda Wave for 200 baht (petrol included) or an automatic (AirBlade, Nouvo) for 300 baht (petrol included). There's only a few kilometers of road anyway, so once you had a quick look around there's no where else to ride.

I can see the point, its the same price to bring it as to rent, actually it costs a bit more to rent, and its a nice drive around and you can explore the place better with your own transport, and its great just to hop off the boat and then onto the bike and speed away, renting out a bike there isnt the best idea in the world. So you may not see the point but i certainly do. Why rent out a bike from those cowboys in Ko larn if you already own one.

  3. Now that you've learned your lesson, make a note to have your Thanksgiving meal next year at 'Richman Poorman' (Soi 9, Jomtien Beach). I went today, and it was wonderful! Great soup and salad bar, including deviled eggs, large boiled shrimp, selection of breads, etc. Perfectly cooked "Butterball" turkey, tasty stuffing, served with mashed potatoes, brocolli, carrots, and peas. Followed by a piece of pumpkin pie. Delicious!

In fact, I'd suggest that you try eating there soon, if you're a fan of American style food, including great New York pizza! I make the 10 km drive from my house twice a week, just to enjoy a taste of home.

You must know the owner or have no tastebuds,Tequila reef is horrible but its allot better then richmanpoorman which says it all really dont it.

  4. I'd go to Brazil or Chile, and for the person who asked about moving somewhere else with a Thai wife, Brazil does not require a visa for Thai citizens, which is a definite bonus.

I also hear that Peru is the same on the visa front.

I lived in Brazil and there English is non existent, the thai's know more english then them plus its allot more dangerous to live in brazil. And as far as bringing the thai wife with u to live in brazil, are you crazy or just plain stupid?

  5. First f all, it's refreshing to me to hear someone who does'nt like it here actually decide to leave rather than hang around whinging. Fair play to you.

Try Brazil, it's a fantastic and vibrant place. If i'm honest, i'd much rather live there myself but my business here is quite solid and i don't feel like taking the chance on trying to startup again. I'm not knocking this place as it's been quite good to me, but given my time again i'd chose there without a moments hesitation, and the people are so much friendlier than i've found in the years i've lived here.

Best f luck wherever you decide to go

Yes im sick of people complaining about Thailand but still stay here, good on ya for moving.A tV memeber who's name i shall not mention {neverdie}lol should get his ass outa thailand 2,he just comes on this website evryday complaining bout everything, the cynical brainless git. :) No offense neveride.

  6. in case you haven't noticed, it is Nov 26, almost a month away from xmas so any advice given could be completely in-correct in 4 weeks time

Said restaurant could be a gay go-go establishment in that time...

Don't be so stupid. And Easyride if you think 750 baht is expensive then you really do have problems.

  7. I loathe Christmas & all the bullshite, stupidity and traffic it generates. Its so commercial, Christmas shites me and so do people that carry on about it :)

    I agree with Neverdie.

    Christmas is for Children.

I shall go for my Christmas Dinner to Jomtien Beach as usual - King Praws with all the trimmings.

You and him should team up you grumpy pair of ...... :D

  8. ^I hope I didnt let you down. But seriously the true meaning behind Christmas has been totally lost in all this retail crap that goes on. I bet if you asked half the children around these days about christmas they would talk about things like toys and mommy getting drunk down at the trailer park & coming home with 3 daddies and so forth. :D:D

I bet your an old romantic really, behind that tough hardened cynical persona lol.HAPPY CHRISTMAS NEVERDIE :)

Make mine vodka red bull,TheAceface did you know that The word Christmas originated as a compound meaning "Christ's Mass?

No I did not please enlighten me....ps...only jesting about Tops.hehehehe. Parsons nose for me :)

It is derived from the Middle English Christemasse and Old English Cristes mæsse, a phrase first recorded in 1038

    POST BAG Christmas nightmare

tweetmeme_url = window.location; tweetmeme_service = 'digg.com'; tweetmeme_source = "BPopinion"; It's really insane to be confronted all over Bangkok in all the shopping malls with the Christmas Nightmare and Santa Claus Syndrome. Why are we being attacked so early with the same stupid Christmas songs (White Christmas, Jingle Bells, etc) staged by screaming kids and some old guys from another country, when we are still suffering ear damage from last year?

Thailand is a nice country with many beautiful trees and other natural products you can display in the shopping malls until Christmas arrives in December. But now we are being attacked with the most funny and ugly Christmas Trees all over Bangkok and really far too early _ the real Christmas feeling in the Western world starts between Dec 1 and 5 and lasts till Dec 26. Then it is over, but in some places may go on till the end of January so we may still need to pull the plugs by ourselves in the shopping malls, to be freed finally of all the Christmas noise.

I think Thailand and the Thai people have better and nicer things to show in the malls than this nightmare returning every year.
