  1. I blame The Nation for yet again piss poor reporting. To the reporter:

    "Hey Idiot!"...

    Who are these students?

What are their affiliations with the farmers?

How did they get it into their heads to decide to protest?

How did they get to the protest site; bus, individually, other?

Was their any teacher or other outside influence in their decision?

What are their views on this matter?

Until questions like this are posed in such a piss poor article, and answered with vigor, then I consign this article to the toilet paper roll in the bathroom, to be used for more practical purposes at a future date.

    Next!...

    Thai journalism:

Try to find a catchy headline,

scratch the subject only on the surface,

don’t take a stand- as right or wrong is the same anyway,

never step on the toe of “influential people”, as we recently learned- bullets are cheap over here.

  2. The police have documented the telephone number of the text messages for further investigation

Real cops would have already made a visit to the owner of the phone... Wasn't one of the head honchos so proud of the fact that the BIB can track down every phone already? But maybe they call the number and ask the owner if it's convenient for him/her to come to the police station next Wednesday between Four and Five to have a friendly chat.

And how will you be able to do that if its a prepaid number? If the sim card was bought at a 711 used once and discarded you can't trace it.

That's why you did not qualify for the job with the NSA...

7 provinces lashed by major floods

Surin is currently experiencing the worst flooding in 40 years as rainstorms damaged agricultural land and roads, paralyzing traffic. Continuous streams of floodwater overflowed from the Phanom Dongrak mountain range, flooding many districts.
In Ayutthaya, 5,100 households have been hit by the deluge as the upstream dam released more water. 27 districts have been submerged and roads have been rendered impassable.

And now read from the script we prepared for you: "Please feel no worry 5.100 times!"

Is that dry humor, or is somebody running out of brain juice?

  4. Gov Maitree met up with the leader of the remaining tuk-tuks and remarked, “Tuk-tuk drivers should have uniforms.

Aren't there enough crooks in uniforms already? To save money, maybe they should get all the unwanted uniforms from University students.

"That way they would have a better image.” As it already works well for the BIB??? w00t.gifcheesy.gif

  5. Oh Pleeze! A lot of these young garbage Aussie and Brits only come to Thailand to attend these parties to get high and get wild......so knowing all these in advance...these garbage are asking for trouble. I would not spend a moment or any sympathy or help for garbage like these . I wonder what type of decent parents would allow their kids to come here for drogs, booze and sex parties.Besies these full moon parties, you have al ot of these garnage in Phuket, Pattay, Chiang mai and bangkok these days too.

If anything, the bloody thai authorities should ban all these full moon parties that are an invention of the Westerners in the first place.

Ever considered raising your kids in one of those Arian white power bush camps where the world is clean drug free and in order?

Aryanic Aristrocrat- are you sure about this member name or was it the drugs that made you chose it?

  6. The Nations attempt at morality....what hope is there!

It's almost as though neko is responsible for dragging Thailand down in the education rankings too.

I await her being found responsible for global warming and being part of the ASEAN conspiracy to ruin Thailand. Maybe the rice escapade was her problem too?

She and her warped ideas? All she said was that school uniforms were already optional and inappropriate for university students. The sky is falling.....

Sooner or later someone will call her a ghost or a witch dealing with evil spirits to bring the country down

  7. Jesus! 2800 kgs of ammonium nitrate, is 500kgs more than what was used in the Oklahoma City bombing. I can understand his happiness, the sentence of 2.8 years is rather ridiculous.

Thailand on Wednesday sentenced a Swedish citizen of Lebanese origin to two years and eight months in prison for possession of (2.8 tons) materials that could be used to make a bomb.

I believe 28 grams of Ganja would lead to a sentence that would make him absent from a couple more Ramadan celebrations.

  8. You gotta feel for the poor folks in these areas.

They must be sick of flooding . . . . and the loose promises that have followed

each year that it won't happen again.

Hope they learn something from it and vote smart on the next election.

Stop dreaming! This will not happen with 500 Baht cash back for the vote.

  9. He's right. Singapore is so far out on it's own it will dominate ASEAN. Malaysia and G20 member Indonesia may do OK and Brunei is wealthy enough not to need the rest anyway. The others, especially the non English speaking nations amongst them will struggle and that I'm afraid includes Thailand.

Germany took a huge burden on its back with the “unification” and the constant flow of poor and uneducated people from new member states of the EU.

Ask an average Thai if he is willing to share his house with unknown family members, speaking in different languages awaiting food and money while not contributing to the progress and well-being of their host.

You may even take it from an opposite view. Would they like the above mentioned to live in their house if they are wealthy educated and constantly bypass their guest family in skills and business and send their profits home to their country?

  10. Unfortunately sex is used for almost everything in Thailand, not only in various government sectors, sex is used to get a job, to get a promotion, to get better credit, to get a increase in salary, even to get a degree in education. This is because women have absolutely no value in the eyes of many Thai men excepting for one thing. even some ministers look at phonography whilst in parliament, this is unbecoming conduct from people in in senior positions, and what happens when they are exposed? they just apologise, and what is the response? "Never mind, don't do it again"

    "........ministers look at phonography ............"

Is this the kind of phonography you had in mind? rolleyes.gif

How about the “qualities of a true Lady” that acts as a puppet on a string- will she be given trousers, preferably made in Dubai?

Regarding your quote of Churchill in relation to Thailand: The five minutes before or after vote buying?
