  1. At least there is a clarification from Bangkok with a name.

I have suggested to others with this problem they call 1111 but never got any feedback as to whether they called or not.

Now to see if they will do it after he gives them a TM30 again.

If you have a Yellow House Book and own ( biggrin.png.pagespeed.ce.XhpYJIv77vtPJZQ ) your home would you still need to fill out a TM30

  2. Since January of this year People with 2 homes or stay in two parts of Thailand at different times of the year have been having problems doing their 90 reports.Even if they can prove they are living in the immigrations jurisdiction they are being told to do their 90 day reports at the office their extension was issued from.

The whole point of doing a 90 day report is to report to the immigration and tell them where you are staying but they are telling people to go to an Immigration office where they don't stay and do a 90 day report at an address they are not staying at,so in effect they are telling people to brake the law.

I believe the rules for not informing Immigration of a change or correct address are

    • You must provide the correct address to Thai Immigration when you are in Thailand. The address at which you reside must be the same as the one you gave to immigration. Failing to do this will result in a penalty to a maximum of 5,000 Baht or 200 Baht a day for everyday until your notification has been corrected.
    • Should you move from your current address which Thai Immigration has, you have to report your change of address within 24 hours or face a penalty of 200 Baht a day for every day until it is corrected.

More craziness from Thailand Immigration Officesblink.png

  3. The merit ritual to prevent the ghost of the deceased living on as a zombie (celebrated on the 100 day anniversary of death) makes me smile. My wife goes to them all.

She still hasn't answered my question as to why she sees no zombies anywhere, despite there being a significant godless section of the community even in Thailand.

I thought everybody know those types of Zombies were Invisible wink.png

  4. I've been told by my local Hospital that the system is for 'migrant workers' and not for Ex-pats living here in Thailand and that anybody that has been allowed to sign up has be allowed because the Hospital that are doing so don't know the rules. But at the same time my friend has a Gold Medical Card and gets all his Diabetic meds for free!

I remember years when I got my Yellow house book the Amphur Office try to give me a Thai ID card.......until my wife told them I was British, so how could I have a Thai ID card.? After a few phone calls they realised they were making a mistake!!

  5. I use a with a Dtac dongle out in the sticks in Surin.......Two of my friends have had TOT round and they both have a Nanostaion Installed. Its a box on top of an aerial that connects to a Router in the house. Both guys have been to TOT and they come round within a week .You can can have a few different packages ...They pays 600 for 10GB speed a month unlimited downloads.

The cost of the install is 6000 Baht all in...... I have tested both their speed and they are getting what TOT have told them.I nip round to their house to do my downloading, A film can be as quick as 20 mins......streaming Films and Football is great...I can't wait to have the system put in!!

Here's an oldish review of TOT 'nanostation' which I found useful,I hope others do too

    http://www.phuketgazette.net/archives/articles/2011/article10862.html

We are lucky as we have an aerial in our area, check with TOT if you have a service in your locale too smile.png

  6. There are a lot of great places to eat in Surin... I agree with most here... stay awhile and try them all.

I'm sure you'll find the Thai and Western food in Surin to be some of the best in Thailand!

It's good but I wouldn't go that far as to say its maybe the best in Thailand IMO

I think I said "some of the best" oops... my bad for the double posting... sorry!

It's good but I wouldn't go that far as to say its maybe the best in Thailand IMO coffee1.gifwhistling.gif

I cant imagine letting someone do what they want with my wife

I always remember hearing a story about 2 guys going away for a week and deciding to come home a few day's early .One friend asked

"what would you do if you found out your wife had cheated whist you was away".........." That would be it "his friend replied " No wife of mine is ever going to have an affair and still be my wife "

Then his friend reminded him that he had slept with two girls whist they had been away...."That's not the same " He said " women should be loyal to their Husbands"!!!

    blink.pngblink.pngblink.pngblink.pngblink.png

Yes its the imagery that most men find the hardest to handle...... because after-all if they complained about their wife having sex with someone else then that would just make them hypocrites wink.png

  8. Well I'm not 100% sure ..........but sirchai said 80% of women ( one guy even put it as high as 90% ) are getting extramarital Thai Sausage ,so why should my wife be any different sad.png .......after all you lot are the experts blink.png

What a shame that the husbands always seems to be the last person to find out. Carry on and stick your head in the sand Boloa along with the thousands of other ostriches that live here.

I don't know if you have read all the posts I have made in this thread but surely even you should realise sarcasm when you read it.

If I was to be really honest .......if my wife wants a little extra on the side I'm sure she could if she wanted too.Just like many other expats I see here in Thailand on a daily basis bragging on local forums and in Bars about the girls they have had and where's the best place for some extra nookie on the side

I have friends that are happily married and would never cheat on there wives but I know loads that do.I don't know what goes on behind closed doors....maybe they have an understand and an open marriage. It wouldn't suit some people but it would others.

If guys aren't wise enough to know when they're getting played then that their fault............now lets have a big male-bonding session and tell others how bad these Thai women are....rolleyes.gif

  9. Bola the man who built a house for his thai wife in the middle of no-where and financially supports the thai familly mocking other people.

Classic a true example of how not to do it.

I bet he met her in bangkok and she was a tourist guide. The delusional ones have lost the lot in my experience.

I think your just jealous of the guys that are living here and are quite happy....The facts are I have a falling out with the In-laws and the wife took my side and didn't speak to here family for 3 years, and they live next door......when a lady does that for you ,you know you have found the right one.

BTW..I could give a dame about your sick jibes about my wife.........they say more about you than they do about me biggrin.png

JEALOUS of a man that married a BG from Pattaya, then built a house in her name, NEXT DOOR to the in-laws, Wow have I got this correct ?

Just to let you know ( not that I have to )............... I didn't meet my wife in Pattaya ( the Soi Post Office was a joke BTW biggrin.png ) ,when I built our house there was 75 baht to the £ ( so not big investment really ) and I don't mix with the Thai family and don't support them in any shape or form.So in fact, living where I do makes not difference to me.....I have some good friends that live locally and I have a few hobbies to keep me busy.I know living in the sticks is not every-bodies cup of tea but it suits me. thumbsup.gif

  11. manxninja says in the above post ........"Take my good friend"

Yes...you can normally judge a person by the company he keeps....sounds like a pair of suckers to me coffee1.gif

Just because you have not seen or experienced this does not mean it does not happen. Me tinks you protest too mutt. Denying anecdotal evidence for other TV members and replying with coarse responses says more about you than those drawing attention to this trend. Are you a renowned expert on Thai culture? I think not.

Who said I haven't seen it,of course I have but to be honest what idiot would come to Isaan, build a great big house, put a new car in his wife's name along with a motorbike..........maybe even a small Business as well so he doesn't have to pay any Tax.

These guys deserve to be had over, surely its well reported in every bar and forum you go on............but still guys come and do the same thing and then blame everybody apart from themselves

I'm lucky ,my marriage has lasted 9+ years and I'm not denying there have been some problems on the way but that's life.I have always said and I will say it again "never invest more in Thailand than your not prepared to walk away from ".I built our small 127 squ/m 2 bedroomed house about 9 years ago for 1mill ,I reckon in about another 6 years it would have paid for its self compared to renting.I'm also lucky that I met someone who is quite genuine but if it did go tits-up I wouldn't be crying about it and whining like some have on here, maybe when some say "this happened to a friend of mine " they are talking about themselves, why else would they be so bitter and twisted !!! rolleyes.gif

  12. After reading this thread and with all the expert comments on Thai Wives my eye's have been finally opened.

Only last week my wife went out for 4 hour alone to see a friend.........How could I have be so stupid not to realise she was not seeing a friend but was getting rodgered senseless by some young Thai stud from the next Village.....you guys really know what you are talking about when you post all these true stories about very bad Thai women

Thanks again Guys...........I'm packing my bags after what seemed like 9 years of a very good marriage,If only I had know that her weekly trip into town to buy essential household items was just a ruse to have wild abandon sex.

I'm now going back to the UK heartbroken......... poorer but wiser

    Thanks guys

  13. Good news for shoppers but maybe not so good news if you live on one of the Housing Estates very close to where Robinson's is being built. It could well be that going out in the car for some locals will be a nightmare, they could well have to put up with extra traffic congestion in their Locale...........as pre-normal with most new shopping area's in rural Thailand........no thought has gone into the local infrastructure to support this new shopping area's blink.png

Yes.....they was widened the road that leads to Sri Saket but not on the Ring-road.....plus how many people will just park in local Soi's instead of using the Car-park whistling.gif
