Coming to, & sometimes living in Pattaya for 40 yrs. 2010 retired with my wife of 13 yrs., 4 spent together the U.S.. In the 1980's had a restaurant with Tim of Tim's A Go-Go & Tim's Boutique Hotel fame, to this day my closest Thai friend. Learned to speak Thai in 1980 while working expat in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia though a bit rusty now. I can remember when there were no beach chair vendors, & Second Road was still dirt. Walking street had 2 bars, the owner of one them a friend to this day.
