Yes, I’ve used Khun Sumalee Jennapa also - maybe 3 times over the years. She is thorough, professional and kind. Her English communication skills are excellent.

Just fyi. Sent a message through Internet banking. They said had to go to branch. Had a friend go to the bank and it would require poa and other stuff. The recommend action was to deplete the amount in the account below the standing order amount then it would automatically stop the order. Also, did the same to stop electric payment.

Boy - We have fond memories of you at your current and previous location. We always loved your enthusiasm, warm personality, great smile and, of course, the music. RIP.

Does anyone know what is being built next to Pansook Condo ( or across the Shell station on Huey Kaew Rd)?
-
We are currently not in Thailand. We set up an automatic payment to send condo fees to our condo. If I remember correctly, we filled out a form and brought it to the bank. The transaction is listed as a "standing order". Does anyone have the form so we can request this to stop?

Bank transfer using Bangkok Bank is the best way. Okay. Thank you.

Advice needed... We've never done this before...
How would you transfer funds due to real estate sale from Thailand to the USA?
I know the form that shows the foreign transfer to buy the property is needed.
Also, I wasn't sure whether to post on this forum or the real estate forum.

I have been traveling and just got back to check on my transfer.
The domestic wire transfer from Schwab brokerage account to Bangkok Bank NY worked.
In the US, I paid a fee of $15 to Schwab and I assume the $5 fee to Bangkok Bank NY was paid.
In Thailand, I assume I paid a 200 TB fee (I transferred a little less than 2000 USD).
So I was curious about the rate. Assuming the above items, I calculated a rate of 32.67 TB to 1 USD on January 27, 2023.
Regarding setting up anything with Fidelity, I had been on the phone with Fidelity customer service previously. I did not like what I heard.
Schwab made it easy. They gave me the information I needed to do it online so I did not have to make a phone call. However, I might have tried an International wire had I seen "Thailand J's" reply above (which would have saved me the $20 in fees).
Thailand J - Do you just have to provide bank name, account number and account owners' names for an international wire? Do you wire in USD?

Thank you everyone for your advice and information. Here is what I am trying:
I decided to do a domestic wire to Bangkok Bank New York since it sounds like this worked for someone recently.
I am highly annoyed with Fidelity at the moment because I could not see any information on whether or not I can provide the information needed for Bangkok Bank New York.
I went to the Schwab website which allows wire transfers from the brokerage account not the checking account, but said you could just transfer from the checking to the brokerage account. They have a $15 charge for this service. I was able to input additional information like branch and address. Anyway, I hope it works and thank you again. I really appreciate the input and will start looking at stuff like wire.

Advice needed: What is the best (economical and efficient) way to transfer money to my Thai Bangkok Bank account from the USA?
I have not kept up with the banking changes since my last transfer in 2018 and I found that Fidelity removed my link to Bangkok Bank for a transfer.
I started to setup the account again, but I see that changes where made 2019/2020 and most likely my transaction will be rejected.
Any thoughts and advice would be much appreciated.

Is the address "125 Chang Phuak Road Sri Poom Muang District Chiang Mai 50200"? Sorry, I am in the USA and it seems my bank lost eft instructions that have been on file for years. Details on the instructions need to provide the address of your Bangkok Bank Branch in Thailand for International ACH.

Nakornping condo is an older project with pool and convenient location. Also, condo staff is nice and easy to work with. Search online or check the bulletin board in the lobby.

We were buying beans from Akha Ama at the Santhitham area shop.
Does Hillkoff still have a shop on Chang Phuek?

Met with Khun Sumalee about 13 months ago. She is back on Tanin Road next to where her old office was located. Calling the office was a better option for us. We booked appointment with her staff. http://29tanin.com/contact-29tanin/

Many, many years ago, I did my own divorce in California using a book from Nolo books. There are a lot of items to think about and preparation of a marital settlement agreement was key.
So I am suggesting they get Nolo's Essential Guide to Divorce to help them.

I have not been there for awhile, but Krua Phet Doi Ngam on Mahidol Road 053-204517 is the best Northern Thai food that we have had other than a place in Chiang Rai. It is not a new restaurant though and the decor is the regular wooden tables. I think we ordered stuff recommended on the eatingasia blog.

Yes, agree. Fresh bamboo shoots can be found at the local fresh market or at a grocery store. I just checked and Tesco Lotus has bamboo shoots in a brine, but it is in a plastic bag. I think I have seen them in a jar too.
Not sure where to find water chestnuts, but most likely you can find it fresh too.
Also, you might be interested to know that cloud ear fungus can be found at the local fresh markets.

There is a Land and Houses moo baan off canal road called Siwalee Klong Choi. It had very good security, pool and restaurant. I would say the best moo baan that we lived at in Chiang Mai.
Baan nai fan 2/3 has pool, fitness room and restaurant. A few years ago, I even saw that they now operate a spa.I do not remember much about Koolapunt 7.
Regarding public transportation, there is RTC Citybus which I last used a year and a half ago to get from near city center to the airport and back. They have multiple routes.

Dr. Thanyalak Pansotthee (Nickname Dr. Lee) at CIDC in Chiang Mai. We like her and had to find her when she moved to different dental company. However, if you need root canal or other specialist work, you will be referred to someone else. Also, we saw a man at Grace Dental that we liked, but we cannot remember his name...

There is a place that sells books and the proceeds go to taking care of dogs. It is on the corner across from Kitchen 7 by Super Joe. We gave her a lot of books about 6 or 8 weeks ago.. If you are in that area, take a look.

Thanks for this... Good to know he is still playing.
Also, it made me curious about other people We’ve seem at Brasserie. Chai and the Blue Maniacs with Nurse... it looks like they are still in Bangkok and will be playing at the Saxophone Pub on the 12th.. Not sure where Mai and fhe other guys that played with Tuk play.
Maybe of interest... We have not been there, but awhile ago (a few years), we heard there is live music at Roadhouse Chiang Mai and you probably know about Boy Blues Bar already.

I will preface this with I haven’t been there since covid broke out, but if I were in Chiang Mai and in the mood for music and a drink, I would be searching online for current info on:
Boy Blues Bar - I am guessing Boy would want this to continue after his passing
North Gate Jazz
Mai & Chiang Mai Blues - If I am not mistaken I think Mai used to play with Tuk
Sudsanan - used to be a place to eat, drink and watch local Thai musicians that was on Huey Kaew Rd. They moved to Canal Rd. And I think they are still opened.
