Travel cost from Hat Yai to KL are quite cheap. From Hat Yai take the bus or mini van to Padang Besar(THB 38) from there take the high speed train to KL, travel time 4hr15min, cost MYR 48 one way ~450 THB

FROM DMK to HDY several cheap flights. Why Air Asia? Better take Lion Air.

If you have time the return trip from BKK is ~ THB 4000

Also its possible to take over night travel using the sleeper train (MYR 40), very convenient. Train leave Padang Besar 19:00 arrival morning ~06:00

Trains can be booked online. I use them regularly for my flight from KL to DPS(Bali). Also Lion Airfull service, cheap and no cattle handling

I live since 1 year one month Bali/one month Thailand and very satisfied with Bali. The living cost for me about 30% cheaper than my living cost in Thailand. The Balinese people are very friendly and helpful. On Bali I stay away from Kuta where all the Aussies gathering. I rented an apartmentand and a scooter on the edge of Sanur which cost me 5000 THB/Month for the apartment and 1500 THB/Month for the scooter(125cc). I reach the Sanur beach within 10 minutes. Many places on Bali worth to explore. Many volcanoes to climb. I'm always happy return to Bali. Only issue I have a kids in amazing Thailand so I return regularly to Thailand. I this not happen, Thailand bye bye

I also stay since 4 weeks in Bali. People are friendly and living cost are cheaper. Quite happy here.

I have an UnionPay card and use it regularly in Thailand w/o problems. They also work in Malaysia and Indonesia. In SEA are already many Chinese bank offices. In Suratthani they have the ICBC bank office - good service!
