  1. The two python species in Thailand, the Reticulated python and Burmese python are both not endangered. I highly doubt there protected as I've seen Thai's kill them first, ask questions later. These two snake species are prevalent in snake collections around the world and more than readily captive bred.

As far as the cobras, they might be the protected or endangered species they are referring to. Thailand, especially the north east and south, have some incredibly beautiful and rare cobras. It's stupid how Asians just consume or kill everything, without regard to conservation for future consumption or preservation, whichever is more important.

Python Reticulatus and Python Bivittatus you forgot Python Curtus are all CITES apex ll and listed on the red list as VU they are all protected localy as well, cobras are protected in the same classification. There are no real rare cobras here in Thailand and all are readily available captive bred, Naja Kouthia is one of the most found snakes in Thailand. There are however some very nice natural colour variations of Naja kaouthia.

  2. I couldn't care if they kill her or not, but, I always wonder why people want to blame the dealers for a junky, if they don't force them then it is a junky who ruins these and the people around them. I dot take drugs because i don't want to, when people around me suggested it i just said id rather pass. Dealers are no worse that 7/11s, bankers or legal a arms manufactures.

It all beers down to people wanting to blame some one, its childish and ignorant.

  3. What absolute idiocy by Yingluck's government. This was 100% predictable as rural doctors already carry huge work loads and work under very trying conditions. Let's hope the Red Shirts in the countryside see what Thaksin's minions are really up to - using the rural poor to get into office so Phua Thai officials can have access to the cookie jar. Someone is making money on this, somewhere. It's a shame it's not the health care professionals who sacrifice so much for Thailand.

The Red shirts won't worry - They just call the doctors 'elites etc.etc. followed by propaganda, about how doctors are democrat voters and their actions are seeking to undermine the fantastic PTP government.... its all a plot by an invisible hand' and it will be business as usual.

It is the pore rural red sheets that will suffer the most. If they are happy suffering let them suffer, they can keep on voting red. Silly ignorant people, this is my problem with democracy in uneducated countries, it can be very harmful, i think Political science and economics should me taught from the age of three.

  4. They should try and something a little more easier like introduce bus lanes that work so ambulances with dying people in the back don't have to weight in traffic while people just ignore them, or maybe introduce road crossings where cars actually stop instead of just beeping to let you know they have no intention of stopping or just get rid of them altogether or, or, or.......

  5. No real answer to these idiots other than return the violence with a vengeance. So much for the peace talks where the sides don't even bother to turn up.

Doesn't work , the only way you are going to fix a problem with violence is buy wiping the whole lot out and i mean every one year 1200 style, wife's, male and female children as well and thats not going to happen, so, lets just forget the violence way.

Thaksin is not going to fix anything they hate him wit vengeance.

  6. The proposal was defeated because members of the Conference of the Parties could see that the Thai government did not have an adequate protection plan in place for the last 200 wild crocodiles. Indeed the Dept of National Parks, Wildlife and Plants cannot guarantee the security of the wild populations in Kaeng Krachan, Pang Sida, Khao Ang Rue Nai and other smaller populations (1 animal is known from Khao Yai but it's likely a captive animal that was released). As the species is near extinction in this country it is pure folly to suggest it should be downgraded in trade protection status. Such a decision would spell the end with the last wild animals quickly poached to add wild genetic stock to the existing captive populations. Wild Siamese crocodiles 1, Crocodile breeders 0

    attachicon.gifcroc.BMP

    That is pure coggles walk!

Do you know how cheaply you can buy these farmed and how much effort would go into poaching these remaining 200? There are so many in farms, it is cheaper and easer to steel them from farms than steel them from the wild.

You can still export skins, it really effects the export of live animals and exports to the US, so many are already sold in asia and even Italy that poachers (if they could be bothered and its was cost and time efficient) can make the same amount of money now as they would if they reclassified.

  7. Why don't the Gov just shoot the Murders down there?

Doesn't work. While I'm a believer of removing lives that would mark the end of a problem, this just doesn't work, It worsens it, the next generation grow up filled with even more hate and self proff that what there fathers where doing must of been right, the IRA effect.

Reconciliation is the best methode, but, (a big but) like aseawatcher has writern, mona tearing and extreme servalance is crucial, Inteligence agency's/ divisions, must be in a constant know of everything, with the use of the most effective ways of gathering Inteligence.

Yes, there will more blood shed, but, that is enevatable, trying to fight this fire with fire will only result in a ack draft.

  8. lets not forget that her father Aung San was a communist,an insurgent and collaborated with the Japanese during world war 2

the reason the west and everybody else is kissing her behind is that Burma is stuffed full of natural resources to exploit including : natural gas, timber, tin, antimony, zinc, copper, tungsten, lead, coal, limestone, precious stones, hydropower, marine products, and petroleum.

Who cares what her father did, they aren't the same person.

  9. I think This country will be in real trouble, if they had to go to war. They have demonstrated that they can't organize them self in a state of emergency. I have seen road checks, that can be avoided by simply doubling back on a very obvious slip road, soldier positioning on watch sights out side the Pm's hide out, that is nothing but a pure joke and now they just openly advertise there 12hr intentions. i would understand, if the intentions where in a least bit threatening, bit they have just given the reds plenty of time to organize.

As for matey, giving him self to police, the fact that he is pm appointee should be even more of a reason to erge a investigation. If he is innocent he needs to clear his name to give the ppl reassurance. If he's guilty, then he shouldn't be there as a pm appointee.

As much as i like the Pm, coursing national disturbance. 'be it yellow or red', makes no difference and they should all be punished the same. Not reworded if you have a yellow shirt.
