Actually nothing she did was any help to him. In fact everything she did could have worsened his condition. You never leave an unconscious patient on his back, you never put spoons in a patients mouth, you never do CPR on a patient that is not in cardiac arrest, you never shake someone violently when he just collapsed off of a bicycle in case he injured his neck or back etc etc. tell me again how she helped?
She stopped and did help him.... didn't she?
oh dear, you better post here your full qualifications experience where you have worked in your career and we will get independent advice from a suitable academic to assess your assessment of the situation.Has anyone watched the video? I did and what I saw was appalling. This guy did not even need CPR. I'm a former paramedic and CPR instructor trainer.
First of all, she was completely irrational trying to do chest compressions and yelling "hey you" shaking him violently. At no time did she even check his pulse or breathing. Even an untrained bystander would of noticed him moving his right arm and hand trying to push her off of him. Why would a nurse do CPR on someone who is clearly semi conscious? Baffling really. Watch the video and look closely at his skin color. Another clear indication that he was not in cardiac arrest at all. And sticking a spoon in anyone's mouth who is unconscious is ridiculous. The only thing I would of done in this situation is simply put him on his side in the recovery position and monitor his vitals until an ambulance arrived to take him to the hospital. She did not save his life. I have been to many cardiac arrest calls and have done CPR numerous times. The idea that she did CPR for 30 minutes and then he suddenly woke up might make for a feel good story but it is not is not medically possible.
It's too bad but her nursing skills did not match her intentions. Any real medical professional would be horrified with the "care" she provided.

How much brain power does it take for them to realize that in order for traffic to flow better you cannot have officer Somchai press the green button and 100 meters down the road in clear view officer Somchai #2 hits the red button. Mental midgets the whole lot of them. Traffic flow patterns should be dealt with by real traffic engineers (not police) and when this happens I will build a snowman in my soi.

We've never been welcomed here. Only tolerated because of our money. Money is the only thing these crooks are after. Don't ever let them search you. If they are really interested in enforcing the law, i will gladly drop off a mirror so they have a clue where to start.

I guess it is safe to assume that it is only a coincidence that the PM and the entire 250 person appointed cabinet (who are mostly lifelong public "servants") just happen to all be multimillionaires and billionaires. None have any "businesses" to justify such wealth. As the PM himself said no too long ago, questions should not be asked about their wealth as it was probably inherited. Would it be a stretch of the imagination that ill gotten wealth could be used to buy land under a family name and then gifted back down the food chain?

What can anyone expect when most drivers here are suicidal maniacs behind the wheel and almost none have any spacial awareness whatsoever. Changing lanes without giving a second thought about anyone or anything else around them here is the norm. Add to that fact reckless speeding, almost non existent reflexes, red light running, train crossing running when the barriers are coming down, tail gating, daydreaming, and the list goes on and on....I assume being in the top 5 deadliest roads in the world is not enough for Thailand. Being #1 is surely the goal and well within sight.

Charges will be filed, a few low ranking government officials will be moved to their famous inactive posts until the storm blows over. Then its back to business as normal. There is no one in this country trying seriously to get rid of corruption. Results or rather lack of, speak for themselves.

Of course this will be the last coup. Well, as long as the majority votes for the "yellow" side from now on (if there is another election.) If the "reds" win again the "yellows" now know how easy it is to call up a few protesters and wait for the army to finish the job. "Yellows" claim to be fighting against corruption? Yea right. Where? Fact is, no one in Thailand is trying to fight corruption. If they did, the streets would be deserted and Thailand would be the hub of industrial sized jails.

40,800 people/companies bounced checks last month in Bangkok... Must be a world record. Personal debt here is now at the highest levels ever recorded. New condos popping up on every soi and property prices are still going up? The guy in front of me last night a Foodland paid with a credit card for his 204bt purchase... Everyone here wants to impress people they don't know buy buying things they don't need with money they don't have! The numbers just don't add up.

I applied at Kbank in Silom back in July and was quickly approved for a unsecured Visa Platinum card. I do have a work permit and own a business here. No hassles if you have some history with the bank and can show significant income.

After some not so intensive research I also decided to buy the Pittasoft Blackvue DR500GW-HD dash cam. I called Monzy Shop in Bangkok and went to pick it up. I then had it installed (hard wired with a power adapter) in my BMW at SFX Auto on Rama 4. It's one of the more expensive dash cams on the market but well worth the money for the quality you get.

I was at Fotofile today at MBK to buy a new helmet mount for my GoPro Hero 3 which I could not find anyhwere. They do indeed have lots of accessories there for Gopros. Thank you for the tip Whizbang. On a side note. Their price for a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition is 16,000THB. You can buy this same model at Pantip on the ground floor for 12,000THB but they do not sell any GoPro accessories there.

I'll bet anyone 2 bowls of som tam the CCTV video goes missing and he joins the exclusive group of killers in Thailand who walk free never to be mentioned by the press again. What happened to the guy who killed a burmese lady with his Porsche and drove with her dead body lodged in the windshield? What about Red Bull Jr. who killed a cop? And let's not forget the guy in a Mercedes who killed a lady at the bus stop awhile back? These are only but a few examples. The list goes on and on...

According to my reliable sources at the local somtam shop, Fitness First is moving into the Paragon location of CAW WOW.

California Wow Siam Paragon is closing this New Yrs eve (Dec 31st)...
Esplanade branch still lingering a bit
What a coincidence that Paragon CAW WOW closes on Dec. 31st and Crush Fitness at the old Silom location of CAW WOW officially opens on New Years day. Buyer beware. It's all the same people asking for your credit card #'s and advance cash payments. Until they accept month by month paid in cash, they can kiss my....

I was in "Crush Fitness" a few days ago and was given the price of 1699bt/month if I gave them my credit card. I laughed so hard I almost got an ab workout. I told them there was a better chance of me making a snowman on Silom then giving them my credit card. The rep then told me I could get the same price if I paid 6 months cash up front instead of using my credit card. I then asked her if she was crazy. How stupid do these people think we are? The whole fiasco with CAW WOW is nowhere near settled and the "CRUSH FITNESS" gym is owned and operated by the exact same people who own CAW WOW. Eric Levine (CAW WOW CEO) is the one financing it. They have removed Simon Howard (he will stay over at Paragon CAW WOW for now) who was VP of CAW WOW sales and replaced him with Mike (from CAW WOW head office) as the manager of Crush Fitness. I offered to pay 1699 in cash every month and reminded them I have been a member of that location since Sept. 2005. As long as the gym stayed open, I would pay my membership fees. My offer was declined. As of today, they have signed up a total of only 20 members! I assume by next month they will be begging for my cash.

So how is the gym at esplanade? Is it less crowded than Paragon right now?
Trajan is spending too much time on the couch.
Esplanade is indeed open. I was there yesterday and on my way there now. It is much less busy than Paragon. Just don't tell anyone else.

I got my "lifetime membership" in Nov. 2008 from the Paragon club for 6000bt which means I got almost 4 years out of it so far. That works out to about 130bt a month. I think I got my moneys worth. Those complaining about their "contracts" might want to read it before posting here. I have mine in front of me now. It doesn't mention "Lifetime" anywhere on it. It only says yearly with a 100bt renewal fee. Either way, I will gladly pay 698bt a month at any gym that can provide the equipment California Wow had/has. Especially at the Silom club when it was on the 19th floor. I sincerely hope 99% of the members refuse to pay the new membership fees. I will surely enjoy the elbow room.

Probably went through HSBC Bangkok first then on to Bangkok Bank. Of course HSBC will take their "cut" also as will the receiving bank. HSBC clears many of our T/T transfers from the UK from many different banks then forwards the funds to our bank.

Only one I know of in your price range is The Blooms Hotel. 5 minutes walk to Lumpini MRT station. Google it. The address is
203/1 Soi Sribumphen, Yen Arkard Rd. Easy to get to from Sathorn Soi 1 also.

No aircon at Pin Klao yesterday.
There has never been any A/C at the Silom location either since they closed the 19th floor and no fans. There isn't even one water fountain. The sooner the place closes the better. I am sure another gym will open in Silom as the demand there is huge for a good gym.
I paid 6000thb 3 years ago for a lifetime membership.....I think I got my moneys worth

I've been living in Bangkok for almost 7 years and have 20+ years training in the gym. My training partner is a top level IFBB pro bodybuilder and neither one of us has EVER seen a trainer in any gym in Bangkok be it either Fitness First, True Fitness or California Wow worth one single baht. One of the easiest ways to answer your own question about using a trainer is simply to look at his physique. If the "trainer" doesn't look like he has ever lifted a kg in his life, how is he going to teach you anything? If you rely on what management at the gym has taught him or any school here, good luck. Most of them spend more time playing with their phones then paying attention to the customers.
Have you ever seen anyone from your gym break a sweat after using a "trainer"? I know the answer and it is never.
The only thing I have witnessed first hand is countless useless exercises, bad form, long breaks and using much too light weights for anyone to get even the slightest results.
Do not waste your money on a trainer from any gym in Thailand. Save your money and do what feels right for you. Also look at what others do and as the poster before mentioned, feel free to ask anyone in the gym about any exercise you have a question about especially the ones who are actually in great shape. I have never said no to anyone who has asked for help in the gym and all the guys I know gladly offer guys help if they need it.

When you activate the shopping "card" online, the default spending limit is set $0. Log onto your account and check what your limit is set at. Probably just need to increase your spending limit. I had the same problem.

Another half baked idea. The battery life on a GoPro is less than one hour while taking videos. They are designed for shooting short, high adrenaline sports videos. Not an 8 hour police shift on the beat.
