  1. Didn't take long for the muck raking journalist to start the campaign against the elected winner now did it? PTP will be directing their cronies whom they control such as DSI and useless bodies such as NACC to smear whom they wish to remove, where votes could not do it. Why doesn't the NACC start with all the politicians in PTP rather than this pathetic witch hunt? This is simply a crappy piece of biased journalism.

the DSI.laugh.png what a political crony based department . Thai criminal investigative system needs another body to oversee it's activities, but then again that would just be another layer of cronyism

  2. This wont be a case of 20 years on deathrow , thats a fact

    Mekong murderers' execution just: authorities

Be good to have this story as a thread, seeing as there is a Thai involved.

"The court already arranged for officials from the Royal Thai Consulate General in Kunming, as well as some of the convicts' relatives, to meet with the convicts on Thursday morning.
The meeting was in accordance with Chinese law, a note from the Thai consulate and applications from convicts' relatives, according to the KIPC".

Well done China, thats the way to deal with Murdering Drug Barons of Chinese sailors on the Mekong

  3. I spent a few days in sihanoukville just before the new year.what a dump.scamming and bothering all the time.dirty and the management told me the tiny room i was staying at was going up from 15$ a night to 30$ for 3days over new year,so i left. One positive ,could buy bottled Guinness for a dollar.now theres something cant get in Thailand, only draught at300 baht a pint.

  4. No FREE internet at- Taiwan Taoyuan Airport- Los Angeles LAX- London Heathrow (provided by Boingo with pay as you go)- Paris Charles de Gaule airport (only 15min free after that you pay)anyone need to know some other airports.......Maybe you guys need to travel a bit more to know what goes on in the world before breaking down the coun try that allows you to live in it..........Shame on you

Come on Dirk.....of course there are numerous airports where there is no (free) wifi, but the topic is about DMK, not LAX or CDG. And yes, it's a shame that a country that is pretending to be the #1 in technology and the #1 in attracting tourists isn't offering such a simple thing as (free) wifi at an airport where 17,000,000 people are supposed to depart from or arrive at.
is this about DMK not having free WiFi???'Exactly..and of course you are forgetting that in Thailand the airport is a King Power shopping Mall with aircraft stands attached. They want you in the expensive duty free not on the internet. As for Singapore it's a developed country while Thailand is still developingif you dont like it here in the "developing country" just go home and enjoy your NOT so free WiFi there.
Not true actually. In Uk can get free wifi any starbucks and otherretailers are offering and dont try and compare the cost of internet in the west to Thailand, Hi speed 10Mpbs unlimited broadband is what my sister and mother pay per month for 5 Uk pounds . Airports can and do in many countries provide free wifi internet
  5. Because greed is a greater priority than customer service.Consider an airport with opposite priorities. Changi Airport in Singapore. Not only free, unlimited wi-fi, but computer terminals throughout the airport for free use. All the Thai authorities need to do is to compare the numbers of tourists per capita in Singapore with the same statistics in Thailand. But no one is doing their homework, apparently. Or whoever COULD do their homework has their hand in the till, directly or indirectly. :whistling:

Exactly....and of course you are forgetting that in Thailand the airport is a King Power shopping Mall with aircraft stands attached. They want you in the expensive duty free not on the internet. As for Singapore it's a developed country while Thailand is still developing.

Developing? I dont spend a penny at Thai Aiports, Other than going to the Toilet to spend a penny . haha. Bunch of overpriced cheats, TAT and AOT. The scamming starts when you get to the country and when you leave, Thailand in a nutshell

  6. Nothing will change. It's a mantra, but it is too true to cease repeating. Thailand is a monster that survives only to perpetuate itself. You kill the monster or do anything to it to make right with these brilliant suggestions and you will throw the entire infrastructure out of whack.

The problem is in the minds of the people. This is a culmination if their minds, and to change anything you must begin with their minds. But their minds are so corrupt, vain, illiterate, uneducated, ignorant, stubborn and resistant that every best effort would be thwarted and the flame put out by corruption, vanity, illiteracy, stupidity, stubbornness, etc.

It simply is not possible to find a beginning point and to begin the change because every point is so entangled with its own diverse set of impossibilities that tampering with this beast would cause a complete collapse; a domino effect so vast that the country would go to any lengths to restore the insanity that it relies upon for its existence.

Unparalleled lunacy. As the poster said, you can't fix stupid. You just can't.

Great summation as to why the country will never change

  7. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2281064/British-woman-20-face-charges-witnesses-say-invented-story-Thailand-gang-rape.html

Go on Daily Mail. I just love it when they expose the Criminal Police of Thailand and The Fakery of the place, so if a person is drunk then "rape is ok?" lets do all we can to damage tourism in the country it's the only way things will ever change .

  8. The funniest thing ever occurred was a case with "2 cheaper than one".

Bought a 2-pack of orange juice; the two packs of orange juice were packed in a transparent plastic carry bag @ THB 121

Passing the shelf where 2 single packs were displayed, I noticed a price of THB 56.

I called over a staff member and asked "Why?"

Of course, there was the famous: "Mai roo!", so I put back the 2-pack and took 2 single packs. The staff member stayed behind with a puzzled look on her face.

Thailand has Consumer Protection Laws, but most important: Thai also hate to loose face. As soon as you complain about something, they will do everything possible to keep their face, even if it is going to cost clientele.

Many Thais actually believe the company/corporation is more important than the service/product it is selling. To the extent that a customer is really pretty insignificant after they have paid and "we have your money" The same attitude as street sellers but in a nicely decorated building.

  9. Today I took a rice cooker back to Big C Rajadamri Bkk.It “packed up “ after 2 months.I had no manufacturer guarantee with the item just the receipt fromBig C .

Customer service had no interest whatsoever in this faulty item,

informing me I had a 10 day warranty on any electrical goods bought there. They sold an item without a manufacturer warranty surely if thats the case the retailer must accept responsibilty for goods failing after 2 months?

When are Thais going to stand up and say “No More“? or is the subservient attitude going to continue to be taken advantage of by major retailers such as the likes of Big C.
