  1. How about some comments from the caretaking government and UDD condemning the recent grenade attack that left 3 dead and 20+ people injured?

I would like to point out something here:

What the Reds have to win with these attacks: nothing!

What Suthep and anti-government protesters want? The army to intervene and stage a coup!

The army says if more bloodshed we will take action!

So what Suthep needs.? To kill is own crowd to get the army involved!

  2. Has any family spent more time in the courts than the Shinawats?

Unfortunately not, that's the point! However Killing Police (As the Redbull heir) or seizing gouvernement offices and Airports (as Yellow Shirt) are accepted things in this system :).

But if you mean that those YellowShirt People like Sondhi or ex-democrat Suthep should spend more time in courts, i agree!

  3. A fair summary I believe

I am not an expert in Thai language, but the video and the persons who made that video are not neutral and seem to support the on-going protest. Furthermore the speaker is saying that 1 million people joined the protest on Novermber 24th and 5 million on December 9th and 6 million on December 22th. I did not recall that those number have been reached.

Anyway, i don't think it is really a fair summary. A bit of propaganda added.

  4. Hyperdimension,

I am exactly in the same situation, AEON ATMs does not accept the new ATM card from HSBC HK. Too bad as it was the only one i found that did not charge the 150 baht fees.

I have been checking around last weekend and tried several ATM's in BKK, It seems that UOB charged only 50 baht. If anyone knows an ATM which charge less than that please share smile.png.

Another tip for French: It is better to use Caisse d'epargne ATMs while in France than HSBC ATMs. The fee applied by HSBC HK is 20HK$ instead of 40HK$.

  5. Someone please tell me again how there are not one set of laws for yellow shirts and one set of laws for red shirts !!! I am definitely NOT a supporter of Thaskin and his band of thugs but justice must be seen to be equal. I see today in Ubon Ratchathani they put tire burners in jail but if you seize an international airport and disrupt the important tourist trade you do not even get arrested ? Reconciliation will NEVER happen unless equal treatment for crooks of all types is seen to be fair and just.

I totally agree with you. It's not fair, and seems to really have double speed justice here. Totally unfair!

  6. even in the french prison, his life will be extremely difficult

Unfortunately not . I'm french and I can tell you they put all the wicked rapists together in the same jails.

So, he will not have anyone to give him hard times (to be polite !)

I am French too and i don't think so...If the trial happened in Bordeaux, you can be sure that it will have hard time there as the"pointeur" (rapist) are not seperate from the others and often fall down accidentallyy in the stairs on the way to the courtyard.

In Paris i don't know but at least it depends of the jail where he will be sent.

Anyway all these people have to pay for their crimes..

  7. At least Interpol Headquarter is located in Lyon :)

    Backseeda posted
Everyone and their Dogs know Thaksin is guilty of funding that terrorist organisation called UDD... He should be brought home to face his accusers, and if he thinks he is innocent, why does he not come to face them. And serve the 2 years already hanging over him.. His ex-wife and his children should also be on that list as they helped to organise the moneys...

And I don`t know where you get facts that lead you to believe UDD would ever win an election in Thailand, it seems if we are to believe the pollsters, that their popularity has slumped to an all time low of around 18%.. And I`m sure when all the facts come out and the captured Red Shirt Leaders "spill the Beans" that figure will drop even further.. And from what I hear through my limited grapevine, they are spilling "Lots" of beans.....

"Everyone knows" backseeda ... but Interpol probably will ask for facts and documents - something those who holler the loudest about Thaksin being a terror leader seem unable to produce. Secondly the extradition treaties that Thailand has (if they have!) with other governments are notoriously circumspect. Those other governments may want a quid pro quo.

My country would really really like the return of 200 to 300 people charged with crimes but who fled to Thailand and Thailand either refuses or seems unable to send to my country – by the way that DOES not include government guys or PUY Yais to make it easier for Thailand (maintain some face) BUT if you expect that to happened you might as well wait for pigs to fly

  8. Sometimes i ask myself if you are looking to the news, since he has been shot, situation is getting worse. Stages are up everywhere in the city. I am leaving near klongtoey and as i saw, Things are not getting better. By killing "Seh Deang" thay have made him a Martyr.

RIP to all red shirts fighting for their rights..
