  1. Makes me laugh how people use a supermarket trolley to take their shopping back the their condo and just leave it there. Then the condo management keep it, put a chain and lock around it and you then have to sign it out if you want to use it.

  2. There is one called Charoonrat (Spelling) opposite to the rear entrance of Tesco Lotus. It's around the 550 bht range. I stayed there for a few weeks when looking for a house there. TV, Fridge and that's about it'. But the place is very clean.

  3. Hi

Despite a search I couldn't find anything recent. I'm looking for English Language Radio Stations if anyone can suggest.

I would like some easy listening with hourly news to while away the time when driving. Are there any that broadcast nationally so transmission is not lost when leaving Bangkok?

    Thanks for any info.

  4. Hi,

Many thanks for the responses and advice. Very helpful.

Actually my wife was in the process of applying for UK citizenship but to be honest that citizenship test was putting her off. If I remember the book she had to study from was something like 'Living and working in the UK' and it was a hard slog. She kept trying the on-line test simulation but couldn't make headway and didn't want to apply without being confident of passing. Looking back she should have just gone for it. To be fair, I tried the test myself a couple of times and failed (shameful).

Then time just passes by without realising and by the time we decided to uproot and come to Thailand is was too late.

Interesting read and thanks for the helpful links to your other posts.

    Thanks again.

  5. My wife was with me living in the UK for 10+ years. She had leave to remain indefinately. We moved back to Thailand 5-years ago. We are now planning a holiday in the UK later in the year.

Can anyone tell be if she requires a new Visa or would her leave to remain still be active.

    Thank you

Forgot to add we have a daughter with dual nationality. Don't know if that would make any difference.

  6. Just bought a new Logitech wireless mouse / usb and it is very jittery, hard to pin down those clicks

    Any info please

    Is it a faulty mouse/usb

Try downloading and installing the latest version (6.XX) of Setpoint from the Logitech website. Had a similar issue recently particularly when using Chrome browser, and it sorted it.

  7. I only wear shorts at the beach, the pool or at home. Out in public its at least jeans and a shirt or polo with proper footwear.

I really don't like seeing farangs in supermarkets, malls or other urban public areas wearing shorts, scruffy T-shirt and flip flops, especially when they have their hairy sweaty armpits on display each time they reach out.

  8. Hi

I picked up a set of Yellow Cone water proofs today at Mad Max of Sukhumvit 103 Udom Suk.

Shop price was over 2,000 baht but their website price is 1,750 baht. The young guy K. First in the shop honoured the website price.

Don't know if this is a good brand or not but it seems nice quality. Time will tell I guess.

Nice shop by the way, lots of accessories in there and a Honda Forza with all the accessories fitted.

    Cheers.

What size does the yellow cone gear come in, it does not say on there site!

The sizes are a little strange. L, LL, LLL. I am about 5' 8" and 38" waist (and a bit of a belly) and the LL was a good size for me. The leggings are a bit long in the leg even accounting for crouching down.

They only had L in the black but all the sizes in the other colours. If I remember correctly they have black, yellow, silver and I think blue for the jacket. I think the bottoms are all black.

  10. Hi,

Looking for a 1 bedroom Condo around 35m3 or bigger. 2 bedroom considered.

Prefer Petchaburi road area between junction of Sukhumvit Soi 3 along through the Asoke MRT junction. That general area considered as well as the Soi's from Sukhumvit Soi 3 to around Soi 63.

Prefer new or nearly new. Must be furnished and very clean. Aircons, Balcony, shower, no bathtub, kitchen with microwave, fridge/freezer and decent sized worktop. Washing machine a bonus. I need secure parking for 1 car and 1 motorbike (big scooter).

Don't care about pool or gym but need good internet connection and decent English language TV channels.

Prefer direct electricity billing (not extortionate condo management rates).

Long term rental required. Budget up to 15,000/mth (a little more for the right place) with sensible deposit/downpayment. Prefer privately owned.

    Required before 16th August.

    Thanks.

  11. Hi,

I've been following the thread about the Xena alarmed disc locks and opinions of the pros and cons but I am wondering what other bike alarm options are available here.

I'll be picking up my bike hopefully by the end of the month and want to consider security before hand.

Any information on what's available and opinions welcome.

    Thanks.

  12. Thanks for the feedback eveeyone.

Mausbiber, can you tell me if the Ozzy has a removable lining.

Anyone know of any other brand/model in a similar cruiser style.

    Cheers.

  13. Hi,

Having looked at the Real Helmets website I quite like the look of the Cruiser style model called Ozzy.

Does anyone have experience with this helmet they can share or recommend any similar brand/model with a similar style.

I would like a helmet with removable liner but although not a must.

    Appreciated.
