I visited the soon to open Triumph dealer in Pattaya, shop is almost completed, a huge shop, very nicely designed. Finally been waiting for a long time for one.

I sat on a Bobber and it is defiantly too small for me, Speedmaster perhaps, the T120 is okay for me, think I could live with that one.

I talked to the general manager Khun Tomm, a very nice guy, he got a Bobber himself. He did a trip from Patts to Changmai and got very tired of the Bobbers short range, app 140km per tank he got out of it because he rides it hard and also have to consider reserves. They sold over 40 Triumphs in about 1 month, app 80% Thais and the rest expats.

When i first got my Bobber fuel milage was pretty poor, now that the motor is nicely broken in my mileage is much better, I get around 180km per tank just cruising and 160 to 170km riding hard. The Bobber is what it is, I personally enjoy riding it, although i am looking forward to riding the new speedmaster with the pillion seat you know the old saying happy wife happy life!!!

  2. I was at Poosup market the other day and visited X-speed. As a reputed mega motorcycle market Poonsup is sadly lacking in the mega dept!

I did see the Sonic (aftermarket) wheels I wanted in a shop at Varachak Rd, but they didn't have in PCX size.

I'm sure it's the Thai version of mega!! but it did have alot of stuff there, not like in Chiangmai were a shop has anodized aluminium valve stem caps and colored shocks and it touted as a big accessory shop!!!

  3. Looks good, how do you like the windshield

The windshield is really more aesthetics then useful, its a little to far away, i was hoping it would be more effective i will see on a longer ride just been puttering around Chiangmai. installing it was a pain in the ass, i don't know if it was just mine but it seems that its was molded with to little curve and were the bottom tip meets the fairing, needed to be filed alot, when i had all the filing done and went to tighten the bolts it cracked the windshield in one spot and cracked 3 of the 4 bolt holes, needless to say i was madder than a wet hen!! but it solid now and i think it looks pretty good too. by the way were did you get your seat done it looks great and the material looks like very good quality

If you know thw iron bridge across the river make a right and on the right side down about 50 meters is the shop on the left side of the road going south. He has seats hanging and there another bike shop next door. Nat west also has a selection of seats as well.

Mrs. Raqsar and i found him, he does remeber doing your seat i have an appointment with him Monday

  6. I just picked up my PCX for 75,900 out the door with insurance a free helmet and Honda backpack, it was from Neyom Honda here in Chiang Mai, i put a thousand baht down and i guess that lock in the price from 7 weeks ago, i had brought 85,000 with me because i was sure i was going to have to pay big time i was nicely surprised that they held to the locked in price and it didn't hurt that my sister in law knew the manager. so far i love the bike it goes very well off the line and even with me and my wife on it ( i weigh 215lbs) i use the idle kill and see no problem with any battery issue and I'm surprised how flawlessly it goes with just a twist of the throttle. I was looking at the Mai Thai website and love all the accessories that i can get (wife is rolling here eyes back at the mention of the place) is there a similar place like that here in Chiang Mai? would appreciate any help finding accessories!

Not sure about shops in Chiang Mai, but here are a couple of links for shops here in Bangkok that you can get some ideas from.

Most of the stuff is for the 125 version, but can still be used on the 150. If you can't find any shops in Chiang Mai, let me know. I could always get what you want and ship it up to you. Best of luck.

Thank you very much Brian, how is shipping with in Thailand? is it fairly quick and does it cost alot? Also can you get all the parts from the links you provided or would it be better if i ordered the parts from them? Thanks again Louie.
