  1. Yeah, Flying Golden Tree Snake. One of the most common snakes you'll find in Thailand. Named as they can jump from tree to tree by flattening their bodies and gliding. Not lethal but they do have mild venom. It secretes from their back teeth. They'd have to chew on a human for several minutes and even then you'd just feel bad for a short time, but quite effective on small lizards, frogs and mammals. Harmless.

  2. Hey y'all, just wondering if my 3bb problem is local or not. I'm up here in Roiet and 3bb went out after a wind storm last week knocked down several power poles along the highway. It took them almost 2 days to restore power and when the power came on 3bb was out. I'm hotspotting my mobile with true on my laptop right now. We have called them 3 times and were told a tech would show, but no show so far. Just called them again and was told the same thing. Tech guy on the way, but I'm not holding my breath. Over the years they've actually been pretty good, but somethings up this time. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing troubles related to 3bb.

    Thanks.

  3. Ha, kwasaki, funny(/Al Pacino voice).

Naw don't need the hassle with import/export.

The other thing about this bike is it's rare in Thailand. I haven't seen another one (with  a plate/gb) for sale since I bought this one 5 years ago.

Like you say, for people who know and appreciate the K1/K2 for the legends they are, you won't find a better example in Thailand.

    Still for sale BTW...

Nice bike - but not the best bike for me in Bangkok city traffic. ????

What might be interesting for any buyer: How easy or difficult is it to get spare parts for that bike in Thailand?

Some time ago I had a Honda NC30. I loved that bike, great fun. But at the end it was impossible to get any spare parts. I gave up and sold it.

I hope that is better with your bike, otherwise it will be a major hassle for anybody who needs parts.

If you call looking up part #'s on Ron Ayer.com and facebooking Vikrom at Red Baron Bkk with the part #'s and a trip to your bank to transfer the cash and 2 weeks later having the parts show up at your door a major hassle lol.

I used this process for the oil pan and gasket, the oil seal behind the water pump, and all the seals and gaskets for the trans/clutch swap. All OEM parts from Suzuki Japan, reasonably priced and a seamless experience. Never had a problem.

    Thanks for bringing it up.????????

  5. Thanks for the reply, I've heard nothing about an inspection cert up here in Isaan. Every year I just take it in and it takes about 20 min and I have my renewed reg card.

But if this is a new thing I wouldn't sweat it as there's nothing wrong with the bike, everything works as it should.

Thanks for the heads up mate.

Oh, btw. For anyone that's interested I can be reached by email as well. I check it daily.

  6. Steven I think you may have spoke to soon. I understand the the recovery of Ajarn.com to it's former glory will take time as you say it's about not putting too much energy into a post just to see it vanish time and time again.

The main problem I see over there now is the admin's free for all attutude. It's like they believe that if they don't ban anyone that this will somehow make the trolls stop trolling through some sense of fair play or something. What they fail to realize is that trolls troll because they are simple-minded losers with nothing better to do with their time. Allowing them to post practically anything they want is a ludicrous policy and has made the forum there now a troll haven with the likes of dirtydog(who just signs on with a new name every time he wants to post), smeg/smyth, davidbkk and a few other less notables. I'm getting sick of reading their crap and think I'll be spending less and less time over there. As a committed 3 year poster of that board, I fear that my sentiments will not be confined to myself, but that other longterm valued posters will feel the same and back away from there.

It is a shame but it seems that the hacker has done his intended damage, I just hope that Ajarn.com can survive. It just doesn't feel the same as it once was and I miss it.

    Case in point:

Tonight being saturday, dirtydog has signed on as justin and posted over twenty, one line insults and his standard drunken crap and LDMA has posted that he won't personally ban him but that he bets that someone will soon. The level of tolerance for crap over there extends far beyond mine and I am just fed up with it. Well it seems as if TV has another regular poster in the works.

  7. I'm living and working in China at the moment and I have to agree with the overall sentiment of the posters above. Yes, 7000rmb is 3000 more than the national average, but the national average is based on mostly the poorer regions of China of which Guangdong province is not a part. Guangdong is a designated "special economic region" as are Shanghai, HongKong, Shenzen and zhuhai amongst others. The average salary in those places is more like 10000rmb per month.

The teaching contact hours coupled with the "prep/office" duties leave little time for earning extra income. I would say this might be a fair opportunity if the salary were closer to double that on offer.

Only the inexperienced or desperate would look twice at this offer.
