“Indeed, that was the opinion of the Department of Justice for two long decades. They argued in the famous Bill Clinton case that a former president can keep whatever he wants including classified documents – a federal judge agreed. Suddenly, Trump comes along and the DOJ throws that policy out the window. They indict Trump on top of it they charge him with obstruction for doing exactly what Bill Clinton did. Clinton resisted,” Jarrett stated.
Rules for thee, but not for me.
How about some other experts ?
CLAIM: A case involving Bill Clinton keeping audio tapes in a sock drawer proves that Trump’s actions were legally sound.
THE FACTS: The case in question involved very different documents and experts say it isn’t the parallel Trump makes it out to be.
The Washington, D.C. based organization had argued the audiotapes were “presidential records” that the agency should provide under the federal public records law, but U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson ultimately dismissed the case, ruling NARA didn’t have the authority to seize the records from Clinton and hand them over.
David Super, another professor at Georgetown Law, argues the 2012 Clinton case has “absolutely nothing to do with” the charges Trump currently faces.
For one thing, the court didn’t dismiss the case because it found that Clinton was entitled to keep the tapes, Super said. Jackson simply ruled that NARA could not turn over the tapes as public records because they were owned by the historian and not government property.
Legal experts this week also dismissed those arguments. Margulies, of Roger Williams University, said the claim “mixes apples and oranges.”
“The Clinton materials were audiotapes of conversations with an historian that incidentally recorded some calls on official business,” he wrote. “In contrast, the documents that Trump kept were all presidential records from the moment they arrived at the Oval Office from other parts of the government.”

Except Trump didn't have the authority to declassify nuclear arms documents, and one was found illegally in his possession , (document 19).
He has also conceded that he was in possession of documents that had not been declassified.
So, as previously mentioned, the difference is that both Pence and Biden returned the documents once discovered, and Trump attempted to retain possession of the documents he stole, (and most likely still has some).- 5

I only have ever cared about the election day !
That is the only true poll, though some would even refute those results when they didnt like the results.

Here's some material for you.
"Multiple polls in recent weeks have shown Trump performing historically well among Black and Hispanic voters in head-to-head matchups with President Biden, helping put him neck-and-neck with Biden in a way he rarely was during their 2020 matchup.
The change was so remarkable that it almost seemed like a mistake: In a poll of residents in battleground states by The New York Times and Siena College this fall, 22 percent of Black voters said they would support former president Donald Trump over President Biden in a hypothetical 2024 matchup.
https://www.nytimes.com/2023/11/23/podcasts/run-up-black-voters-democrats-trump.html
So that article was written in September. Here is a more recent survey showing a slight improvement for Biden, though not a lot.
This poll was taken from 3,448 eligible voters. I am unable to see how many voters were polled in the Siena survey due to the paywall.
Could you supply that number please ?

"Most folk" would be wrong, just like most folks think declaring bankruptcy to avoid paying debts is "good business".
It's illegal, and if caught there are penalties, irrespective of who commits the fraud.

Basic politics 101
If you even bothered to read the article you would discover that inflating his wealth had nothing to do with his over inflated ego but :-
"to pay lower taxes and improve its insurance coverage. James is seeking $250 million in financial penalties".
But no, rather than educate yourself, you throw out a fatuous opinion and follow that up with unsupported claims about someone else in an effort, once again, to justify your support for Trump.
No wonder Trump can grift his supporters so easily.- 16

Funny how Trumpers never mention that Pence also had classified documents.

It would not be surprising that the large number of comments in a Trump article
could be due to the fact that the Trumper/Maga/Qanon/Sovcits members continually post
such bizarre trolling posts, conspiracy theories, opinions posing as facts, deflections and
and “whatabout” Biden posts, that the more informed feels obliged to offer detailed lucid responses pointing out their misconceptions. But, it doesn’t stop there, because when the medication kicks in on another Trumper, they rinse and repeat and off we go again.

I've been searching for the same to no avail for years now.
I do almost all of my own setup and repair work, with the exception of fret dresses and re-frets.
As a trial, I took one of my least expensive guitars to a luthier in BKK who was highly recommended by numerous expats here on AN and on various FB groups, etc., for a re-fret, and this individual did a really crappy job, unfortunately.
First of all, he used the wrong gauge fret wire. Second, the frets looked like he had basically just run a file over them and called it a day, i.e., no real effort went into crowning and polishing. Glue was slopped on the side of the fingerboard, and he didn't bother to remove it.
Anyway, the search for a repair person who does pro-level work goes on...
By any chance is that the person I referenced in my post ?
If so, that is very disappointing.

Sounds like sheer madness. Rats and other vermin play crucial roles in the ecosystem. They are food for multiple predators from birds to larger mammals and reptiles. They are effective at keeping certain pests under control. Their poop is effective fertilizer. Just mind boggling the Ardern lady thinks she knows more than the creator.
Headline in 20 years time. New Zealand to re-introduce rats after horrendous crop failures!
Do you have any idea the amount of damage introduced species do to the native species and habitats of these countries ?
Rats, feral cats, rabbits, carp, foxes, water buffaloes, camels, horses, cane toads, goats. pigs not to mention introduced invasive plant species such as blackberries, thistle and prickly pear etc . Australia and NZ aside, look at the problems associated with reticulated pythons and the Tegu lizards in Florida.
Yeah, she knows more than the "creator"......or you.
Do some research before posting tripe.- 2

That's weird.
Fixing the crack is not so hard, but there is a possibility it could open again. Gonna presume you didn't drop it or most likely you would be needing a headstock repair, so maybe timber movement is the culprit. I have seen cracks like that running down from a neck pocket, but not in the middle of the body.
To repair, you just cut two boards to the contour of the sg on either side at that point, then cover those edges with cork or leather, and ensure the out edges of the boards are parallel with one another. Using either a syringe, brush or air get as much titebond three in there as you can, and slowly bring together with a sash cramp across the two boards. If the joint looks like it is opening again you might have to insert a spline across the crack. This will involve routing and refinishing.- 1

This a copy of a post I responded to last year concerning a refret enquiry.
I contacted this guy about getting a refret on my '73 LP Goldtop.
If I could get it down to Bangkok safely, I would have him do a refret, dress and setup.
His prices seemed reasonable. Based in Sathorn.
https://www.facebook.com/Fabao.guitar.singerThe only reason I have not had the refret done is I refuse to ship my guitar. I live in Isaan, and I want to meet the guy and discuss prior to any work being done, ( plus I want to check out the work at his premises before any money changes hands). Judging by the picture he has posted, his work looks very good. Possibly I will have to catch the bus down and hang around BKK until the work is completed.
He also plays every Thursday at the Missing Burro in Thong Lor , but as yet have not seen his act, though though the owner tells me he is a great guy.Good luck.

Just a heads up. I had a visa app refused by KK Immigration because I had used the word "income" instead of "pension" on my Australian stat dec, despite this being my 8th visa using the same wording on said form.
My application had initially been reviewed by my local IO before sending to KK for consideration without issue. In the end they did approve the application, and my local IO admitted that KK did indeed make a mistake. So just to be on the safe side, I would use the term "pension" instead of income, (btw my income is not a pension, but they just couldn't understand my financial arrangements).

I expect a huge raft of SA cases to swamp every GOP member now that proof and evidence are no longer required, nor even remembering when it happened.
Suggest you watch the 4 part series "When Truth Isn't Truth". Transpires that Rudy was more of a hyena than a lion.

cant imagine the chaos there would be with out rules!
As this is a general statement about Dems behaviour during parliamentary proceedings, once more I point out the similarity
to the behaviour of Green and Boebert, but you don't seem to want to comment on the GOP hypocrisy.

but I will say according to the Story from the local rag ! The dems have a opportunity to return.
“Despite the high-profile expulsions, the three could technically return to the House within days”.
Its not off topic as it illustrates the hypocrisy of the GOP.
You cant have it both ways.
Surely you would agree that, there appears to be some issue as to how the GOP perceives a lack of decorum depending on which political party the alleged transgressor/s belong to ?- 1

It all centered around a protest outside the chamber with 3 dem house reps shouting and chanting at the podium !
The debate centered around house rules of decorum being abused!
The 3 dems would not admit their
role in wrongdoing ( deliberately taking the podium without permission). 2 of the three were
expelled by a two thirds vote!
So you would agree then, that Taylor Green and Boebert should have been expelled from Congress for their behaviour during Biden's speech on the State of the Union ?
Seems like double standards from the GOP, does it not ?
This is not about gun control or decorum, but an attempt to create a super majority and is an abuse of power.- 3
