You need a flat, smooth surface, a big area with nothing to run into. As an experienced roller/ice skater I taught my kids to blade in shopping centre car parks. Pick a quiet, dry day, Head to a quiet corner away from the main parking area and go for it. Dont forget knee and elbow pads, its easy to sprain a wrist when learning and falling

Yes don't forget knee & elbow pads but forget about a helmet, it's not important to protect the head at all. :post-4641-1156694572:
