Also, there is nothing like having your father try to teach you to meditation, and then hitting you if you don't do it right.... I sometimes try to remind him ( from a safe distance,he was a fourth degree black belt in Tae Kwan Do ) that if it wasn't for my being born, he would have most definitely been sent over to 'Nam... Fortunately medication, old age, and enlightenment has mellowed him out much... I still love him though My Father taught me many things about Buddhism, and I'm pretty sure that if he was more patient and a better teacher, I would have also been a Buddhist a long time ago..
