Left Hand Kids

Hello Both my kids are left handed, and no one will give me a straight answer on what they do in thai schools. any one have experience in this area with thai schools or policy?

There seems tobe many thais that are left handed,so i dont realy understand your question.my asumption would be that thewy do their work like all the kids but have the pen in left hand instead of right

Is your question about how writing is taught in those early years? I believe they trace the letters the same way as their peers, just with the pencil being held in the opposite direction.

My bf is left-handed (supposed to mean he's smart but I won't tell him that ). He once told me when he was young his mother tried to convert him to right-handedness but when she wasn't looking he'd just switch back to using his left. I'll ask him how it was with his teachers.

In the olden days, some schools in the West apparently used to tie your left hand behind your back to discourage it.

I asked. He says he doesn't recall any teachers trying to turn him into a rightie, just his mom.

i was ambidextrous when i was young. during the writing exercises i would cheat the system by switching hands when one got tired. the teachers caught on and made me use my right hand only. now i can't write very well with my left hand. i'm pretty upset about it. i wish i still had that ability.
