7by7 Posted November 30, 2008 Share Posted November 30, 2008 There is no set limit on time allowed outside the UK whilst here with FLR, or other temporary leave to remain, and qualifying for ILR. Although when she applies for ILR she will need to show that the UK is her main country of residence. (Difficult to do if she has spent 23 of the last 24 months in Thailand! ) There is, however, a limit if/when she applies for citizenship. In that case she must have been in the UK on the exact day 3 years prior to submitting the application and have spent no more than 270 days of the last three years out of the UK with no more than 90 days in the final year. bread Posted December 1, 2008 Author Share Posted December 1, 2008 oh good good when ever she gets back her FLR then she wants to go to thailand I guess for a month but I dident want her to be out of the country to long but thats great so a month or 2 months every year will be fine.
