Moral Messages With Porno ?

I have for a long time been getting a certain kind of junk email that baffles me.

What is in the email is profoundly incompatible. There are moralistic, seemilngly religeously inspired messages which surround an add soliciting for a pronographic website. See the example below which I received today.

Anyone ever seen this sort of thing before ??

I suspect I have a virus hidden somewhere that avoids my 4 spyware programs somehow. Could I have some virus that is undetectable ?

How long has this been happening.

I presume you have tried filtering out this junk and that the senders address changes each time.

Does the message title contain any repeated keywords that you could filter .

BTW. Spyware only detects spyware it does not detect a virus

and what is so special on that?

it is now a new trend to add useless text and make the spam between. So you can cheat the spam filter. A text from an book will not be detected, so you can help yourself on the statistic if you are a spammer.

if you want to make some research on that, give me your emailadress I can tell my servers spamfilter to forward all spam to it, it is just 10K emails per day, I think.

really don't waste your time on it. .....

That would explain it nicely.

Hadn't heard about that before.

Can't wait until they implememt the proposed idea of charging the sender for any email that is sent by a sender not on the receiver's list of known good senders (in your address book for example) or previous email senders. That should stop the spammers doing bulk emailing.

IMHO it won't works as it's un-enforcable and.... as the bulk of junk mail is now sent out by "Zombied" windows machines that have had a mail server secretly installed on them !!!

The owners of such "Zombied' machines mostly have no idea that they are sending vast amounts of spam to all and saundry.

A spammer using his/her own account for sending spam is going to get shutdown quite quickly

There can be no control from the top.

Everything else would be a kind of censor system, specialy if the sender is known it gets very interesting for gouverments.

I know from Germany that the gouverment can look in every mailbox hosted in Germany (beside you have your own server). There was a big report in TV. I don't know how it is in USA.

I personaly prefer that I get some spam emails per day than I loose my privacy.

You know first we find the children pornos as reason to cut on privacy, than the right wings Hitler things, than the terrorists, now the spam. At the end you have less privacy than in the Sovjet.

By the way spam if it is not too much. Look at the normal post in Europe, I got every day 10 Spam mails (not E-mail) but noone think about it.

Now there are spam filters on the way which look at word combinations which is more effective than today. Once they get really good and included in the normal software packages, spam will get less again.

There can be no control from the top.

Everything else would be a kind of censor system, specialy if the sender is known it gets very interesting for gouverments.

I know from Germany that the gouverment can look in every mailbox hosted in Germany (beside you have your own server). I personaly prefer that I get some spam emails per day than I loose my privacy.

You know first we find the children pornos as reason to cut on privacy, than the right wings Hitler things, than the terrorists, now the spam. At the end you have less privacy than in the Sovjet.

who afraid spammers ? let them make their own money - not much headache to clean 10-20 mails a day, much worse to loose one important mail a week!

due to this "smart ass" filters and IP blockers I cannot send mail to few providers abroad - somehow they decided my ISP mail server is the spammer.

also, I don't want "free anti-virus" check of my mail. right ?

10-20 a day are not a big problem, but 1000-3000 are, specially if you don't check your mailbox a week.

some provider sometimes block thai companies, but belive me, with good reason.

if the outgoing mailserver is open so everyone can send out a million spam emails per day, or you have some funny customer who are doing that, you must do something and many of the asian provider don't care. To block them so their customer complain is the only option.

I had a few time, that I got 500 emails an hour on one emailadress. If I can detect where they come from I can only block this machine/IP.
