Just wondering if someone could help,I am travelling with a Thai person to Thailand from Australia.

Our flight stops off at Singapore on the way,I noticed by the intenary it stops at 0025 and 7 hours later off to BKK.

Does anyone know if we both can leave the airport in between,he is THai,I am Australian.

I cant think much to do for 7 hours there.

yes, transit visa. and I even think the airport offers a free tour of the city if you wish.

Used to need a minimum 4 hours for the tour. Now it is best to have 5hours+ due to security. Singapore makes it easy for visitors to stop off and visit. Singapore Tourism did itself proud when it came up with the short tour idea.

Doubt there will be any free midnight tours...between 00.25am and 07.00am...

Take a nap at the 2nd level movie theatre instead.

If you do not want to sit in airport all night - you can go to town and make cheap tour yourself using public transport.

Metro doesnt go during night, but they have night buses.Immo will give you entry chop valid for one month,so no problem

if you miss your flight(but there is no-show expensive fee!).Plenty of friendly taxis are available.

Just going up and down of Orchard Rd.,having meal in Newton Ctr. and visiting new casino and enjoying stunning night scenery

is well worth of taxi fare.Ride from airport downtown is 20 mins./20 S$.
