Another way: If you still have your old VHS video player/recorder in working order and you know someone with a DVD player/recorder, you can plug in a special cable between the 2 and record on DVD directly from your VHS player. Another way: If you still have your old VHS video player/recorder in working order and you know someone with a DVD player/recorder, you can plug in a special cable between the 2 and record on DVD directly from your VHS player. One problem is that when transferring from a VHS analog tape onto a digital DVD disk, there is quite a loss in quality. I've had those transferred to DVD at Panthip Plaza. Ground floor near the back. They have a big sign saying "transfer video to DVD" or something like that. They also transfer to VCD.
