Mario2008
He has to apply for the visa himself. Only if there is a problem with the required sum of money to enter could you help him with lending him the money.
allane
Presuming you are non-Thai, you have no standing to sponsor anyone who is just a "friend". I have never heard that even a Thai can sponsor someone simply on the basis of friendship.
visarunner
based on webside he could apply for a transit visa. Ask him to crosscheck what kind of guarantee the Embassy need from a person in Thailand http://www.thaiembnepal.org.np/downloads/basic_visa_requirements.pdf

Ask him to crosscheck what kind of guarantee the Embassy need from a person in Thailand http://www.thaiembne...equirements.pdf How is he going to get a transit visa if he is not crew on a vessel/aircraft.....you generally need an agent (ie marine agent) to supply a letter to be issued with a transit visa, and in the case of marine crew they need to supply a copy of your seaman's book. So therefore highly unlikely the OP can apply for a transit visa

You are getting confused.
visarunner
at least they could try, it all depends on the Embassy if and under what condition they issue a Visa.
Soutpeel
at least they could try, it all depends on the Embassy if and under what condition they issue a Visa. All embassies are well aware of the requirements for transit visa's, they will be dealing with these every day, you are suggesting the OP friend just waste his money, under this visa the OP cannot stand sureity for the friend The conditions for transit visa's relate for the most part to crews ie Marine/air crew's etc, and if the person concerned is not marine/air crew he/she is not going to get a transit visa without the proper documentation, which could include 1. letters from Thai based agents 2. copies of seaman's book for crewboat etc.
lopburi3
• to travel in transit through the Kingdom of Thailand to proceed to the country of destination or to re-enter his/her own country The meaning of above is en-route travel to a 3rd country destination (with full paperwork to enter) or for return to home country from a third country. It is not for travel to Thailand and return to home country. He should apply for a normal tourist visa.
