will2go
"We are the parent of Ryan Chicovsky, missing from his guesthouse in Xieng Kok on March 13. We are still in Laos, searching. We are looking for the following travelers who stayed in the same guesthouse (Manychan) in Luam nam tha, Laos, March 6. They might be able to help us. They are: Stuart Fraser, Mike Walker, Peter Myers, all from the UK; Emma Lunell, Sweden; and Julie Yenshin and Yufa Miznno, both of Japan. Please reply to this posting if you can help us. Thank you, Ryan's parents" ANY information on possible where abouts is welcome. Photo of Ryan may be seen on the US Embassy in Laos' site (cut&paste in browser): http://vientiane.usembassy.gov/uploads/ima...ssingupdate.pdf Thank you
udon
This is a good example of how to post a missing person topic. The link to an embassy confirms that it is legitimate. Without that link it would have been trashed. I hope Ryan Chicovsky is found alive & well.

Hello to Ryans family, Don,t know if you,ve already done it as you seem well organised by your splendid presentation. Have you made contact with the relevant embassies of the different nationals in Thailand, as the chances are they where in transit there in one way or another. Also any contact with the press in the relevant countries requesting an appeal / interest in this sad situation could be usefull, especially in the U.K. There are several T.V. networks that run programmes on missing persons from time to time and go out nationwide would be another good outlet to try to make contact the U.K. contingent. May you all be reunited and have a happy ending. Please keep us posted with any developments which we all pray are positive. marshbags Edited May 8, 2006 by marshbags

lingling
We are looking for the following travelers who stayed in the same guesthouse (Manychan) in Luam nam tha, Laos, March 6. They might be able to help us. They are: Stuart Fraser, Mike Walker, Peter Myers, all from the UK; Emma Lunell, Sweden; and Julie Yenshin and Yufa Miznno, both of Japan. The Swedish person's last name is probably misspelt, it is more likely that her name is Emma Lundell. This link gives you contact info for all persons by that name in the Swedish phonebook (only 18 hits): http://privatpersoner.eniro.se/query?searc...what=wphone&ax= The country code for Sweden is 46 and you need to remove the leading zero in the phone number before calling. If that doesn't get you anywhere, the Swedish population registry is public information (the Swedish embassy in BKK may be able to assist you there - their email address is [email protected]). (Oh, don't say anything negative about communists or the Lao government if you contact the Swedish embassy...)
