Man shot dead in North Pattaya



PATTAYA: -- In the early hours of Monday a 27 year old Thai man, who reportedly worked as an illegal money lender in Pattaya, was shot dead in a North Pattaya street following a confrontation with another man.

The dead man was identified as Khun Suwijack who was shot 3 times in front of a Karaoke Bar in Soi Burana in North Pattaya.

There were witnesses to the shooting who described seeing the man in a heated discussion with another man, who had pulled-up in his car. The conversation lasted for just over 1 minute and culminated in the deadly shooting.

Oattata ? I've heard some interesting pronunciation but that's a new one. Pattaya has been 'dangerous' for many years - just depends on where you go and who you interact with. I doubt that too may Thais will mourn the passing of a loan shark - that's a conscious decision to put yourself in harm's way from the minute you wake up in the morning. He had to know something like this was going to come his way sooner or later - totally different to those of us who live our lives avoiding such heated encounters.
