webfact Posted May 26, 2015 Share Posted May 26, 2015 Attack and gold theft at North Pattaya Petrol Station PATTAYA: -- In the early hours of Tuesday a 28 year old IT Engineer was subjected to an assault and robbery inside a Toilet located at the rear of a North Pattaya Petrol Station.Khun Patarachai was attacked from behind by two men, who struck him over the head. In an update to the case involving a man being robbed of a gold chain whilst visiting a toilet located at a petrol station on Sukhumvit Road on 26th May police announced on the morning of Thursday, 28th May, that the man in question, Patarachai had given a false statement to the police and has subsequently been arrested. The 27 year old claimed he had been robbed of a 3 baht weight gold chain and stabbed by two fully masked teenagers inside the toilet. But on investigating the incident, police were informed that he had sold the chain to pay off a football gambling debt. On confronting him, he confessed to self inflicting wounds and staging the act to get the sympathy of his parents.
