report: multi non-o(marriage) Toronto

Recommended Posts

At the Royal Thai Consulate in Toronto, I provided:

- Application form;

- (Canadian) passport;

- Passport-size photo;

- Copy of marriage certificate;

- Copy of wife's ID;

- Copy of wife's tabian baan;

- CAD 200.

I received the visa the next day, out within two minutes both times.

Toronto consulate has always being good. Especially when Bill Dickisin (sp) was the consulate general. He was quite the character, served in the Canadian Navy, after the war he went to U of T, met a Thai girl, got married and when they graduated they moved to Thailand, he joined the Royal Thai Air Force, retired from there, and when his wife died moved back to Canada. I only had a chance to talk to him about his life once and for a short time, but I bet he had some stories to tell. He told me he was involved with Air America. He always let me do my visa by mail, and was always a great help. I've been living in Thailand now for 12 plus years and am on a retirement extension, so haven't had to framework the Toronto Consulate, for a few years. I do know that Bill died a few years ago.
