jonnyscot, your needs kind of intrigue me? do you want clothing to go offshore with? if so why does your employer not provide? if you just want offshore quality for another purpose, why - offshore "standards are for Nomex which is hot sweaty and fairly pointless................
As a long time offshore hand excuse my nosyness, but if you don't ask.............
Hi and thanks or all replies, I usually do get supplied PPE from my company, but as they are UK based and I expect to be travelling direct to worksite from thailand on many occasions and to different worksites offshore, contracting to various clients via my employer
thanks
Hi again and thanks a million for all remarks genuine and pisstaking too, each and every company/client has different stipulations as I can see from all your replies, but I have always been learned to go to work prepared and whether the client supplies PPE or not (I have experienced both situations), I would always prefer to go to work prepared if possible, simply because I may be on Construction vessel one week and in construction yard another week and on DSV in another week, I see there are many opinions about who knows best about what, but the main thing is that my question has been answered.
thanks again

hi, recently moved to pattaya area and any help greatly appreciated, I am searching for offshore quality coveralls with the reflector strips preferably in the pattaya area, if they also stock safety glasses and safety footwear it would be an added bonus.
thanks

Mario is correct as i have done this.
I have 2 UK passports as well.
I keep one for Biz trips abroad and one for Thai visas.
hi shaunoro, thanks for the reply, much
appreciated

Airlines are aware that some people have two passports. Normally it is of two different countries, but two passports from the same country is not that rare. They might want to talk to a supervisor if they haven't dealt with it before, but you will be OK.
At checkin you present both passports, at immigration only the one you entered Thailand with.
Thanks Mario, much appreciated for your reply.

Hi wondered if anyone can advise on this, I assume I shall have to obtain official confirmation from airline, but does anyone have experience of using 2 passports whilst travelling,,,,, I have my current passport with me in thailand but my company hold my second passport, they plan to send my second passport from UK to address in thailand with a new work visa entered on it allowing me to work in another country , thereafter they plan to send me my flight details for travelling to that country, as I have entered thailand on my passport that I hold with me, obviously I must exit thailand on that same passport,,, as the flight carrier may refuse me travel unless I produce information stating I can enter that country for work, I must therefore show them my second passport (the one sent by company) at check in, thereafter whilst passing through passport control in bkk show the(current) passport to them, I shall be flying via dubai en route to final destination for work, does anyone have experience of this.
thanks

its very sad to hear about something like this happening, hope the family manage to get things sorted for him and turn around the misfortune, it just makes one think about having medical insurance cover, does anyone have any experience about the quality/costs of medical insurance in thailand?

Hi, yes I hope things work out well, I had similar situation took them over to UK to meet my family back in UK, kids have Thai/Uk passports and they decided they were happy in UK and wanted to stay, I searched through many uk gov websites, to see if wife could stay in UK as children have UK passport, I did come across that information I mentioned in earlier post, but I made mistake of taking wife into UK on Visitor Visa - End of story for me.. there was something about discretionary leave to remain in UK but not sure about that.

Hi, just read your post, I saw some information on some UK official website (can't remember exactly where) it mentioned that a sibling with UK status does not guarantee ILR status for spouse, so I suppose they look at each case individually
