  1. How many flights per day from Phuket to Chiang Mai?
  2. Wrong! At approximately 2000 baht it is MUCH cheaper than the private hospitals. I've had check-ups at both and the Vachira clinic is by far the better deal. No ECG, PSA test or chest X-ray at Siriroj unless you pay extra, for example.
  3. Vachira have a brand new clinic about 100 meters north of the main hospital, they have a comprehensive walk-in health check program which includes all blood and urine tests plus chest X-ray and ECG. All very modern and a consultation on your results with a doctor. Around 2000 baht. (promotion)
  4. What a horrible 'answer' 1. Chinese woman, so she's not Thai? - Brilliant deduction Sherlock. 2. Are you married, if so what country were you married? Who said it was about me? Can't be bothered explaining any more as I doubt you would understand.
  5. I would think the logic would be to find a lawyer that speaks your language.
  6. Any recommendations for a Chinese lawyer in Phuket? Preferably one who deals with property disputes.
  7. If a Chinese woman and English man are together for 10+ plus years and own joint property. What are the woman's rights if they split up?
  8. I drink beer (in moderation) every day. I smoke or ingest weed every day. I eat home cooked Thai food most days (apart from the occasional fry-up, never eat McDonalds <deleted>). I don't exercise as such but stay reasonably active. Just had my annual check-up at the new clinic at Vachira (ECG, Chest X-Ray, ALL blood and urine tests (PSA, cholesterol, blood sugar etc.). Results ALL GOOD! I'm 78 years old and stress free. I sincerely believe that ingesting high THC cannabis occasionally is very good for ones body, getting high is a bonus! ????
  9. Sorted, thanks anyway.

    Small car hire

Does anyone know the approximate price of a small car hire (daily/weekly) here in Rawai? Asking for a friend who is arriving next month.
  11. The cockney rhyming slang for this activity is "Gypsy's Kiss"
  12. My thoughts exactly! The BBC has long ceased to be an unbiased news source with integrity.
  13. I got rid of my TV years ago and never regretted it. Watching the news was always depressing, it was always doom and gloom hyped to the max. I realised that all I could do about any of the disasters in the world was worry about them and stress myself out. Since dumping the tv I've realised just how much propaganda is dressed up as 'news'. No thanks.
  14. Thanks for all the replies. Problem solved. My appointment was for 1pm, I went early (10am-ish) went through the system, no questions asked and was jabbed and out by 11am.
  15. Not the answer I was hoping for but thanks anyway Beechbum.
  16. Did your son have a fixed appointment or was it a first come, first served deal?
  17. I have a 1pm appointment for a booster shot soon. Unfortunately I have another appointment elsewhere on the same day at 3pm. Does anyone know if they stick to the appointment times at Saphan Hin?
  18. Not purchased any recently as I always keep a stock in the fridge. Rarely need to use it. Suggest you try a couple of pharmacies to see if it's available.
  19. Ranidine. Generic of Zantac, available at most pharmacies. Zantac was only a problem if taken regularly over a long time. Normal use for indigestion, not a problem. Get ALL the information, not just the scare-mongering. Google is your friend.
  20. ....and do try to resist the urge to sniff other peoples backsides, as it may cause offence! ????
  21. I did look it up. Lots of confusion there. Predictably, America defines class by income earned, so a highly paid blue collar worker would be middle class - go figure.
  22. "working class" consists of people who are employed in manual or industrial work. - Nonsense! If you 'work' at any job, regardless of earnings you're 'working class' because you 'worked'! Some people do like to feel superior so give themselves middle class titles.
  23. What's with all this 'middle class' nonsense? If you have a regular job of any kind or did have in the past. You're working class!
  24. ....and some fluffy dice to hang on the rear-view mirror.
