OK, Are they 8 inch rims? s I've had 205's and not 215's on  7.5 inch rims. The 215's were the better fit.

They are 7.5 but fitted in 225. I know 215 can go but would prefer stay with original size.

My main issue anyway is the lack of Summer tire availability or they are too confidential.

Most of the brands (european, japanese, korean, etc...) provide just a fraction of their catalog and that's annoying as I like having choice :/

Have you looked for Michelin Primacy ?? They've got very good reviews in the US. .. I've just had them fitted to my 3.5 mitsu magna vrx in the sandpit and I'm very pleased.
    Size used .. 215/60 R16

Do you think it will have better wet handling than tires like  Michelin Pilot Sport 3?

Also, didn't see my size on Tyreplus website

    have you looked at vredestein?

No personal experience, but when I need some, I'll probably try em out, cant be worse than my runflat contis now :)

    Hi jonBuk,

Unfortunately, it seems they don't make them in 225/50 R16 :/

  4. Hi All,

I am in search of summer tires (225/50 R16) with the best grip in wet conditions available in Bangkok.

What can I find and where to find them? I also need to have them inflated with nitrogen, so the shop selling the tires must be able to provide that service.

So far, I know Tyreplus is selling Michelin Pilot Sport 3 that is very good in wet conditions but I would like know if there are alternative such as:

    - BF Goodrich G-Fforce Ssport Comp-2

    - Firestone Friehawk Indy 500

Any idea? until now I had problem to find any good alternative to the Michelin Pilot Sport 3 in Bangkok :/

    Thank you for the help

  5. Hi All,

Any Lexus owners in Bangkok can tell me where they bring their car for maintenance in Bangkok (other than Lexus/Toyota car dealer)?

I am thinking of buying a second hand LS400 and don't want to have overpriced maintenance like in car dealer shop ;)

Another question a bit more general: when changing engine oil by myself in my home country, I can dispose used oil at shop like B-Quick or ACT. Is it the same in Thailand? If I bring them used oil, will they accept it and dispose of it (I am ok to buy my new oil from them too)?

    Thank you for the help

  6. For you BCD choice, think also if you want a jacket of back inflation style. Beginners usually prefer a jackeet style as you are more stable on the surface.

But to be honest, I never felt really the difference ;)

As Spalpeen said, take one comfortable.

When trying BCD, I decided to go for back inflation as it is more streamline underwater (so less drag) and I felt more free of my movement (as all the inflation part is in the back). I also have back problems, so I needed one with a Lumbar reinforcement.

All this set, I went for AquaLung Dimension i3 BCD (i3 because I don't like the rubber hose to dump the air).

Last thing, that's right the size recommanded by manufacturer is sometime not accurate: I had to take a lower size to fit well in the BCD ;)

PS: when you buy a new BCD, during the first dives (about 10 in my case), you will need to add extra weight (+4 kg in my case) the time for the fabric to absorb watrer. If you don't do that, you will stay like a balloon on the surface :P

  7. Many Dive Center are available in BKK.

I personnaly go with Scuba Jamboree (http://scubajam.com/) on Sukhumvit 49 (they use the swimming pool of the Racket Club).

They also organize dive trip and Liveboard (you can find the list on their website).

My spouse and I really enjoy going with them: friendly and professional.

But you have many other good ones that can be recommanded such as Dive Indeed (Asoke), etc...

Lot of quality choice in BKK :)

  8. Hi,

I need to find medical grade distilled water to fill a moisturer for a breathing system.

As this is for breathing, I know the one for battery will not fit (and also distilled water for battery includes electrolyte, so it is technically not pure).

I have been told that hospital suppliers can have some but I don't know any supplier.

Does anyone here can give me the address of medicial suppliers in Bangkok (if possible not too far as I leave in Asoke area)?

Thank you very much for the help.

  9. Hi,

For a mattress, it depend of what you search.

I you can sleep on whatever bedding, you can buy mattress very cheap everywhere.

But if as me you have big back issues, it is not an opion for me to have a high quality bed.

I just ordered yesterday a King Size bed at Udon Furniture (Central Bangna) Dunlopillo Ultimate 100% Latex with 15 years warranty that was on sale at 34,000 THB. The feeling was better that other beds we tested costing 60-80,000.

Inc ase it can help... :)

  10. Hi All,

    thanks for your answers.

For the True Online Ultra VDSL 50/20, I never heard about it. Where can I have some details because I cannot find it on their website. Also, do you have an idea of the price? me now, I am using the 30/3 package of their Ultra High Speed Internet and the UL is a bit low for my needs.

For the DL, I was able to saturate it 1-2 times only, so I don't think I need more than 30, but for the UL, as I have VPN with my friends in France, to have something line 10 would be great smile.png

Also, I know that True is the only provider with a real International Bandwidth, so of course I would prefer them.

    Thank you

  11. Thank you for the links, lomatopo.

Unfortunately none of those links tells if the FTTH is available or not.

Right now, I use the Ultra High Speed Internet from True (this is basicaly a FTTB solution using vDSL v2) but - whatever the solution works fine exept when the line cut 1-2 days long - I would like a solution with symetric bandwidth (and if possible a static IP). a system of 30/30 or more would be great

I checked ftth.co.th, tot and cat, but I did not find a single website showing the price and geographic availability of FTTH solution.

If anyone is using FTTH or as more info, it would be great.

    Thank you

  12. Hi,

    Thnaks for the reply.

In fact, I don't plan to go to SG in a close future, but I plan to buy within 1-2 months.

And if the difference of price is about 100-150 Euros, I have no interest to go aboard to buy it, especially if I want maintenance.

Also, in ProPlugin, do you think some of the Controller / Monitors are in demo?

    Thank you

  13. Hi,

I would like know where I can find an Allen & Heath Xone:DX midi controller in Bangkok and what should be the price here.

I saw Pro Plugin is selling it, but is there any other places?

Also, I am searching a goog quality studio monitor active speaker, like KRK, M Audio, Genelec, JBL... where is there a place when I can test them to listen which one who fit for my needs?

    Thank you
