I, for one, agree with your disappointment. If manufacturers will cheat on something as blatant as the weight of an item, what else are they cheating on?
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, noodles, spaghetti, really the list is endless. Do not lay awake thinking about it, life is toooooo short. I cannot find pickled onions of any weight, think about my dilemma. ................
I am pretty sure I saw pickled onions in Makro today, the one on Lad Prao next to Mall Bang Kapi...... in the small International food section near the pickles and olives....... Also had Butterball Turkeys for 125 thb/kilo.

You wont get a massage for 300 baht here, but I went to one of their locations a few years ago. Absolutely fantastic.

Lets move this over to the Bangkok forum.
Topic moved.
Can't say enough about how great and professional HealthLand Spa is...... The aromatherapy oil massages are 800thb for about 1.5 hours; Traditional Thai massages are 500 for 2 hours. Private rooms, professional staff, quality accommodations...... Yes, a little pricey but definitely top notch all around.

I tried this place 2 weeks ago.
Yes, a little difficult to find, we found the street but drove right past it, guess I didn't look up far enough to see the big banner.
Saturday at 1 pm, and we were the only ones there. Had the wet burrito w/steak. It was very good however it wasn't very hot. The gf had the shrimp faijatas and they were quite tasty. We also ordered the guacomole and it was very good. They bring out 3 or 4 sauces, and each was unique and fairly spicy. The only complaint I have is that I thought the tortilla chips were either fried too long or maybe a bit too thick as they seemed a bit to hard, if that makes any sense. Overall I thought it was better than Sunrise Tacos.... Location might be a bit far for those not living on the east side of town. -
Did they look at your bank book? Last time I did a run there, maybe a year ago, I didn't have that and didn't ask for it. I did however, have dummy reservations for a couple flight out of Thailand (after 60 and 120 days) but she didn't even look at them and handed them back to me.
Thanks for the trip report!!!

11th floor here and our balcony sliding glass door to the kitchen is open 90% of the time. Just outside the condo is a drainage ditch/canal that is standing water, ie no flow. And maybe once or twice a month I see a mosquito.....

The OP complains of corruption by the police but he, by his actions, encourages it. He offers 100thb, then 200thb, officer says No, then he offers 500thb. Too bad the cop didn't arrest him for the bribe. smh

What about Pancake?
Hopefully, you are not referring to the newly famed "Sexy Pancake"???

Iam a big fan of the bum gun but would really love to lay some cable in one of those Hi-Tech Japanese dunnies.... any hotel in BKK have them ?
The Jr Suites at the Crowe Plaza Lumpini got them...... Fancy things too. Hot/Cold water sprays, adjustment of the pressure and angles of the water, hot/cool air drying, heated seats, etc.... Played with that thing til my legs were about numb.

That's what I heard and that's believable, it explains why there're no other stop smoking aids on the Thai market. And the guy in question is some big minister or something in Thai gov't.
They sell the nicotine gum in Boots and Watsons.
E cigs are available in Cambodia; PP at least....

Bangkok - Hong Kong is an overly populated route...... So many carriers and competition, 5-8k baht is about the normal range.... I always use kayak with good results.
*Edited for spelling.

OP, I think that what you wrote would fit in with how I expect Thai monopolies and cartels to react to the AEC. Free trade and an equal playing field are alien to the Sino-Thai business ethic.
Yep. That's why I originally assumed it had disappeared here. Does make me wonder why it's still available in BKK and Pattaya. Must be the much stronger demand.
If you guys haven't tried Beer Lao, you might give it a shot. Maybe not outstanding, but it's a big departure from the local stuff.
Absolutely Agree with you....... Best beer in SE Asia!!!!

While I have never had any problems with my A/C units that needed repair, I assume my landlord would take care of any repair cost if needed. She does have them cleaned and serviced twice a year......

sad sad news...... smh

Dallas or LA....... Bangkok, not so much. Villa has most of the ingredients to make yourself, that is what I have resorted too.

Never seen, just have to check the individual airport Duty Free shops out.
Surprising found that just before Immigration when returning to BKK that one of the shops there had a sale on and the prices were a heck of a lot cheaper than Duty Free at CDG and also at SVO and DUS, so the wife just had to buy another "Longchamps" bag.
hahahaha..... My gf just had to have another Longchamp at the duty free in SIN last week.... It was on sale!!!!
I have also noticed duty free prices range from location to location but the airports are always cheaper than what you can buy on the plane from the DF magazines.

Took the overnight train from Nong Khai to BKK. Two of us did the 2nd Class sleeper. Exceptional value, very clean, and comfortable. Small dining car that sound good Thai meals and cold beer. Wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

As an American, I don't get an entry stamp back into the states....should have cleared immigration in phuket for an international flight out, not bkk.
you dont clear immigration if its just a connecting flight and your not leaving the airport.
did you clear immigration in sydney, or just waltz in there too?
you have an uncanny ability to circumvent incompetent immigration counters me thinks. might as well ditch the passport as well.
I didn't get an entry stamp to Australia because I'm Australian so I didn't need one.
i smell a troll

No replies, how come?
Try posting this question in the visa forums area..... I was gonna do a quick hop across the border and found some info on google.... IIRC, I think you might not be allowed to go much beyond the city.

I started splitting my time here in Thailand about 3.5 years ago. Would work 4-5 week in the states then 1-2 weeks here in Thailand. Racked up a lot of frequent flier miles, but last year the traveling started to get tiresome. Now I opt for 3-4 months work and a month or two in the LOS, repeat...
What's your night-time, air-con temperature?

During the day, intermittently use the a/c and set at 24. At night set it at 22 and use the 1 hour timer, but have the Hatari blowing on high all night, just sleep with a sheet, no blanket.
