    It would be great to thing that might happen. I bet Colin wouldn't even get 500 Baht and a wai.

    I understand you well, especially when you and I  know his history;
    but it was not his house and his animals that were targeted but the whole village.

    Yesterday 4 men arrived with brush cutters and started cutting down the 3 meter high reeds etc, appears they got fed up cutting it, so the stupid bar stewards set light to it, and nearly destroyed parts of our village... bloody idiots.

    I hope the police know who they are and make them pay all the costs.

    Cannot quite work out why that truck and trailer needed to go that wide. Bit excessive I think as the trailer should follow the truck with no problems.

    This is also the question I asked myself.
    Why go so wide with a trailer truck?
    I see only one explanation, in fact there are two.
    1-- we are dealing with a beginner driver who does not know how to take a turn correctly.
    2-- The driver is experienced, he knows the road which is badly manufactured and knows that by taking the rope his load will go to the ditch, so he takes off.

    Perhaps my English is too obscure:

    You said: "a nurse who absolutely wanted to take my temperature with her electronic thing;
    result, I am dead; temperature: 33.3"

    So I wrote: "How come you're just so cool dude?"

    (cool - 33.3C, not 36.5C)

    I always forget that this word has several meanings; sorry BlueSofa :jap:

    When I've been cycling I keep expecting to be told I have Covid, as those skin thermometers measuring someone in the sun and cycling don't give a body temperature reading.

    What was the outcome - are you in isolation? Do you need any Red Cross food parcels?

    Or did you just scare them off?

    how to tell you ....
    I have been the only farang in my village for 14 years.
    So cool?
    This is my way of living since I live in Thailand.

    Never take the lead for anything and with anyone.
    And then my wife does not speak a word of French or English; it allows me to live in peace while understanding better and better when someone speaks to me in Thai;

    but i keep ignoring it, it's the best way to never be bothered by anyone.

    About the Covid?
    I think I got through; I must also say that I only go out of my house to go and take small strolls alone in the forests of heveas around my house; I only meet dogs there and very rarely humans who work there and therefore are far from the road in red soil.

    Unless I'm confusing it with another Japanese bespoke brand, the 3 Mitsuoka models mimicking the Jags and Rollers all had Nissan platforms and engines. One of them had a Nissan March engine, so much more show than go.

    The Himiko has a platform and the motor of the Mazda MX5

    All their vehicles are made so that the heads turn, so not to go quickly.

    Citroen DS is a dream car, that's just a joke car....

    DS Citroen, I had several in the years 65/75; under the hood it's a huge gas plant; to replace the first candle you need a special key because a normal one  is too high.
    While the engine of the 2CV is the simplest;
    the only two mechanical parts to watch are the universal joints but it costs almost nothing and it's very easy to change.
    Minimal consumption, sufficient speed for the Thai road network;
    I do not recommend the back seat to do somersaults with a pretty girl ...:cheesy:

    After my experience with HomePro

    Just reading this name makes me laugh ...
    It really is the kind of store you should avoid at all costs in Thailand;
    there is a very large SCG warehouse that is located next to the Kubota garage before arriving in Sawang from Udon Thani;
    it's the same kind of store as HomePro;
    40 or 50 salespeople who turn their thumbs or rather watch bullsh*t on their smartphones;

    they are unable to pronounce a word of English and in any case do not know what they are selling.

    With that, crazy prices when we compare to the two very large stores that have been selling the same things for 40 years about 3 km from there, just at the entrance to Sawang;
    Stores where you are received with a smile, and where the few employees know the huge warehouse by heart and take you directly where you are looking for your product;
