  1. This is absolute f__ing B__S__t. The "movie" in question is such cr@p that it can't even be called as such. It was just made by some f__ing racist loser who's mad at Islam/Muslim, and not all the Muslims are up in arms AGAINST AMERICA for this B___ S___t???

Well I'll be GOD D____NED. Looks like this loser of a producer actually uncovered the UGLY TRUTH AFTERALL, though I'd like to think otherwise. To think so many would hurt innocent people just because of this tripe???

  2. Regardless how much you liked the soi 10 bar scene, Chuwit's razing was justified as the bar owners were just greedy squatters whose lease had expired and refused to leave on land that was being sold. The razing was perhaps the most rational solution to solve a chaotic problem handled in the Thai way which has been repeated over and over elsewhere in Thailand. Immediately after the incident, Thaksin condemned the razing and vowed to find and prosecute those involved. The supreme court ruling should be interesting.

We've had nothing but problems with squatters in the past. Since my old man passed away we started setting things "right". Though the law is on our side, the police almost always aren't, and there's ALWAYS a lot of bribing to do before the situation can be cleared up.

If you don't own the land, you don't have a right to set up shop. If you don't comply, then the bulldozers are there to show you the door.

  3. Six senses! !!!!

Sent from my LT22i using Thaivisa Connect App

When you consider adjectives, there are indeed six senses:

    TASTE - spicy, salty, sweet

    SMELL - stinky, putrid, fragrant

    TOUCH - rough, soft, squishy

    HEARING - loud, booming, silent

    SIGHT - red, round, big

THOUGHT - f__ked up, arrogant, mindless

So yes, there are indeed six senses. The sixth sense allows us to describe things based on our thought/opinion. Wouldn't you agree?

  4. Can't disagree with this. In Japan it is called Fugu and can be had in Bangkok.

The intime or sushi chef MUST be licensed after a rigorous training course,

to have a regularly renewed license to prepare this.

Even so at least once a year someone drops dead in 10-15 minutes after eating some.

I can't imagine the fishball industry has better cleaning tolerances that the fastidious Sushi chefs in japan.

Just warned the wife to not buy fishballs for a month at least.

Worse yet is the long shelf life 'fish strings' that may get delivered

and sit in wait for the unsuspecting, and no one may recognize why the person dies from them...

So is this what Homer Simpson had?

  5. I think you have missed the main point by miles. Eggs are usually treated/sprayed with iodine once they are laid. This is to prevent any bacterial growth on the shell which soon migrates through the porous exterior into the inner mass where it rapidly reproduces. The form of Salmonella here is drug resistant so one assumes that it is resistant to the iodine as well, which means that it is getting through into the eggs. Refrigeration does not kill Salmonella it just slows its growth rate. The transportation methods in Thailand are surely not the cause, it is the preventative strategy at the producer that isn't working. Let's hope they forgot to spray 300 of the 10,000 eggs eh? otherwise there could well be a much bigger problem lurking...

About the most common misconception of samomellosis, is people thinking that the bacteria was on the outside of the egg.

In fact, though this was true a century ago, this form of food poisoning is actually extremely rare.

Today, 99%+ of commercial eggs that are contaminated with salmonella are contaminated "within" (=inside) the egg.

The bacteria does not migrate from the outside to the inside, it is introduced at conception and during the formation of the egg--it is not a fecal transfer--it is simply a bacteria commensal (normal) and harmless to the chicken. Some chickens have commensal salmonella, but ones that do will produce eggs, some of which have salmonella within the eggs. Egg laying chickens should not have commensal salmonella.

Salmonella is a commensal bacteria common to birds. The bacteria can exist and does not make the bird ill. But a chicken that has salmonella can produce eggs with salmonella inside the egg. Eating an undercooked egg with such bacteria then infects the human eating it.

To give you an idea of how seriously ANY salmonella found in chickens can be taken by breeders I'll use Hubbard Farms of Walpole, NH, USA as an example. Hubbard is one of the world's leading breeder of specific egg-layer chicks, and they ship world-wide.

Every day, one piece of straw from every hen's nest is taken. Each piece of straw is used to innoculate a petri dish with proper media. If one single colony of salmonella emerges, even just one single colony, from one single chicken in a house that holds many thousands of hens--every single chicken in that house is destroyed. The house is then cleaned, fumigated, and new, salmonella free chickens are started. This is how seriously Hubbard takes ANY salmonella in their chickens. Though birds often are commensalized with salmonella, it is essential that the chickens who produce eggs for human consumption have NO salmonella.

I hope that this was traced back to the producer, and that the commensalized chickens have been destroyed--if not, then this will occur again.

If you doubt that most salmonellosis is caused from within eggs, not on the outside, seach "salmonella inside eggs."

I wish I could press the "like" button on this more. VERY informative post. That explains everything -- Thais just love money too much to bother.

  6. I am glad to hear I am not the only one drinking over 2.5 litres a day of Pepsi Max. Coke Zero tastes flatter. The bottle changed recently.

the whole conversation has made me feel slightly ill, but this disgusts me.

how can you people drink this crap?

    -Open container.

-Put opening of container against slightly parted lips.

-Point bottom of container towards heaven.

    -Keep swallowing until sated.

    Easy!!!

This is what happens to your body after a can of Coke, Pepsi, or any other sugar based soft drink that includes caffeine ...

    • In The First 10 minutes: 10 teaspoons of sugar hit your system. (100% of your recommended daily intake.) You don't immediately vomit from the overwhelming sweetness because phosphoric acid cuts the flavor allowing you to keep it down.
    • 20 minutes: Your blood sugar spikes, causing an insulin burst. Your liver responds to this by turning any sugar it can get its hands on into fat. (There's plenty of that at this particular moment)
    • 40 minutes: Caffeine absorption is complete. Your pupils dilate, your blood pressure rises, as a response your livers dumps more sugar into your bloodstream. The adenosine receptors in your brain are now blocked preventing drowsiness.
    • 45 minutes: Your body ups your dopamine production stimulating the pleasure centers of your brain. This is physically the same way heroin works, by the way.
    • >60 minutes: The phosphoric acid binds calcium, magnesium and zinc in your lower intestine, providing a further boost in metabolism. This is compounded by high doses of sugar and artificial sweeteners also increasing the urinary excretion of calcium.
    • >60 Minutes: The caffeine's diuretic properties come into play. (It makes you have to pee.) It is now assured that you'll evacuate the bonded calcium, magnesium and zinc that was headed to your bones as well as sodium, electrolyte and water.
    • >60 minutes: As the rave inside of you dies down you'll start to have a sugar crash. You may become irritable and/or sluggish. You've also now, literally, pissed away all the water that was in the Coke. But not before infusing it with valuable nutrients your body could have used for things like even having the ability to hydrate your system or build strong bones and teeth.

And if you think you can avoid problems by drinking sugar free products ...

    1. Artificial sweeteners are chemicals or natural compounds that replace the sweetness of sugar, without all of the calories. But sometimes the label 'sugar-free' masks calories present in the food or drink. Of course you can always read the product's label, but believe it or not, there are a whole lot of people out there who think that sugar-free or fat-free means low-calorie. On top of that, there are some recent studies that have shown that artificial sweeteners can actually increase your appetite. And then there are sugar-free products with ingredients that can raise your blood sugar dramatically—like the white flour in sugar-free cookies. All in all, 'sugar-free' doesn't always mean 'diet-friendly'.
    2. Aspartame (NutraSweet, Equal, NatraSweet, Canderel, Spoonfuls, DiabetiSweet) is a common chemical sweetener with possible side effects that sound like they're out of a horror movie. From hallucinations to seizures to brain tumors, it is hardly worth consuming for the sake of saved calories.
    3. Sucralose (Otherwise known as Splenda, my past-sweetener of choice), is scary. Recent research suggests that Splenda can enlarge both the liver and kidneys and shrink the thymus glands. Sucralose breaks down into small amounts of dichlorofructose, which has not been tested adequately tested in humans. Splenda reportedly can cause skin rashes, panic, diarrhea, headaches, bladder issues, stomach pain, and those side effects don't even sum it up.

Most soft drinks are unadulterated crap. Full of toxic substances that are ultimately very bad for the body. And none of them are as efficient as water at curing the original reason for drinking ... thirst!

    DIG

Good place to start looking up the facts! Thanks!

  7. If government pronouncements on flood are anything to go by, it's time for me to start stocking up the extra bottled water again.

Water isn't a problem, also the Democrats and the Army brings you water.

But beer is a big problem.....Sitting alone on your private island and nothing to drink at home......

    To add:

Last time, the flood was coming, lot water on the street already, 7/11 open but basically empty, specially no water and no beer......

I took the bacardi breezer Thought that is better than not drinking anything.

No no no....not between 2-5 pm....

That sounds like a joke, or?

You silly farang. Only 14-year old Thais can buy during those times.

  8. No oxygen, no fire. So where does the oxygen come from? Does any guru know?

The cause of the underground fire has not been determined so far and officials have been asking for help from other agencies to determine the cause.

Locals are of the belief that the phenomenon was caused by recent earthquakes in Thailand.

A old timber mill, a few years of debris forming over the top supplying a bit of pressure to damp saw dust and mill ends - presto spontaneous combustion.

One does not need to be a rocket scientist!

Well... sure is news to me... and I'm not Thai : P

  9. Typical pieces of turd who make billions in corruption yet can't even drag their pathetic selves to 'the office'. But who cares? The rich don't -- their businesses and lives don't revolve around the petty government I guess... middle-class and the poor are just too complacent and unable to think, thanks to how the government rigged the educational system. AS I've always said -- at this moment, the only thing the government cares about is milking its own people. Certainly not advancing the nation.

  10. .... but can someone tell me how these incompetents still have the support of the masses?

When will common sense start to prevail in this country?

I can't really blame the government; I talk to different Thai adults every week and NONE of them are interested in the news, current events, pollution, world news, etc. When I asked them if they heard about the bombings in BKK almost 100 percent of them said "what bombings". They just don't know and don't care. The masses know more about "Super Stars" then about their own country. So you can't blame politicians for taking advantage of the masses.

It is not much different in the US where we have a great number of idiots who believe that eliminating government and letting big business fuc_k over the people is a good idea. The idiots don't remember history too well because they couldn't be bothered to study it. They don't remember that the government is the one that keeps the drinking water safe, the food safe, workers safe from safety hazards in the work environment, etc. But these same idiots are the ones jumping up and down clamoring to know why the government didn't do more to protect them when they learn all the painted products imported from China contain lead, or that the vegetables imported from Mexico have e coli contamination. Not to bright those folks "I want no government but I want the government to protect me".

By all means, BLAME THE GOVERNMENT. It's their design after all -- simply put, make education a frustrating and confusing experience for the masses, and what you get is a confused, complacent population that is easily fooled by election promises. The government is happy the way things are going -- BECAUSE IT WORKS... FOR THEM.

This is NOTHING what the US education system/government is about. In the States, our government doesn't <removed> the people over by making them complacent non-thinking ding-dongs. Americans do that to themselves, truly, but we DO have genuine teachers there, and the system DOES support the development of our citizens. It's no wonder they do -- because the US ~HAS~ to produce a certain amount and quality of thinkers in order to advance the nation. This is something that Thailand is NOT interested in. Thailand's politicians are only interested in milking their own people.

As a testament to what's happening, the Philippine government has now followed suit with its education system -- they are now modeling Thailand's. Why? Because they were producing people who 'thought too much' about politics. By following Thailand's "lead" the Philippine government will find it a hell of a lot easier to manipulate the population in the future.

  11. "BANGKOK: -- The House deputy secretary-general has brought in telecommunication officials to check phone signals in Parliament's compound and they found that a phone with android system could transfer pictures onto a projector screen in the meeting room while iPhone could not."

BWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA~!!! THATS my kind of Thai official~! Stupid and incompetent as a ROCK! Oh wait... that's an insult to rocks~ At least rocks are USEFUL!!

iPhones can stream videos alright. I've done it myself -- ON MY 3GS! A bunch of sad stupid fools are all these morons are. Sad stupid fools with OUR money.
