  1. What a headline it would have been if it read " Yaowapa LOSES Chiang Mai by-election " but no chance of that. Big brother made Yingluck head of PTP and 30 days later she was " PM' at least in name so is there a chance Yaowapa is now " puppet PM in Waiting " ?

I hope Thaksin has some heavy duty puppet strings. If that's her 'elated' face.

He's going to need them. Yingluck got the looks. I wonder what this one got..... at a guess the bulldog temperament smile.png

I have always subscribed to the view that everyone has the right to be ugly, and I include myself, but she's just abusing it

    Is this necessary ?

  2. " Yingluck told reporters that she wants to ask Suthep whether he is ready to hold talks under the framework of the Constitution or not.

"Moreover is Khun Suthep ready to halt the protests so that the election can proceed according to the principles of democracy?" she asked."

Suthep has threatened her and her family. Regardless she will not sink to his level, or anywhere near it.

What ever you think of her politics this is a lady with class who with a few words has shot down Suthep leaving him looking like the smuck he is.

  3. And what sort of right has the Dusit Puppet to demand these sorts of things? Oh, that's right: none. Let's face it he's an intellectual midget next to her (remind me what educational levels he reached) but he can out-thug her anytime of course. Why on earth should she sit in the same room as someone who has threatened to have her and her family eradicated?

Same rights the red brigade had to have a live debate with Abhisit in 2010.

    No double standards, eh?

No,not quite the same as Abhisit was not ,never has been and never will be chosen by the Thai people to to become Thailands leader.

In 2010 the Thai people only wanted to have a democratic election. A government democratically chosen by the people. This is something that Abhisit and Suthip can not accept and unfortunately the majority of the Thais will not put up with them taking power again with threats and force.

Things are not looking good, but it has to be the peoples choice of how Thailand proceeds.

  4. Having inspected the truly bafling array of statistics, projections and interpretations of voting figures in this thread I have come to this conclusion:

    Winnie the Pooh won

    Piglet was second

Tigger didn't vote as he was busy bouncing on the stage at Asoke

Christopher Robin is about to be deported because he went on the stage with after Tigger and said rude things about Yingluck.

It was an election for crying out loud. The party who won the most votes in a constituency wins the seat. The party which wins the most seats gets to form a government, either alone or in coalition. Any other interpretation is spin. If the result is tampered with by courts or any other agency then it is flouting the declared will of the electorate. Simple really. Now give me some more ear medicine!

    Now slow down a bit,

I am quite sure Suthep has the very top scientists working on this problem and the great leader will be able to explain with scientific calculations that he won this election and it was another great victory for himself very soon.

  5. Why are armed militias from Suthep allowed to shoot people in Bangkok at will every day?

. Obviously shooting at an unarmed vehicle without provocation is unreasonable but it certainly is understandable.

Sorry, I Don't understand. Wouldn't it be better to take suthep and his scum off the streets now ?

  6. Looks very sensible to me - by the way February 2nd I can vote - how many of YOU can really CHANGE ANYTHING HERE? OH............and no one will be buying MY vote - I will be giving it freelyto the side i see as the best choice. Very sad voters in the Northeast will be shepherded into the voting booths and watched. IM THAI I KNOW!!

Your Thai so you must know.

I hope Sunday you can vote, for your best choice.

Sadly Mr Abhisit The Democratic Party Suthip and The PDRC do not want Thais and good clever people like yourself to have that right. They will be doing there best to take your right to vote away from you.

I wish you all the best in standing up for your rights against these madmen.

Stand firm and make sure your vote is respected

  7. Only 60 airlines they release the results on? This is a drastically shortened survey - let's see who I can think of off the top of my head as missing on their full list....(feel free to add)

    http://www.aerointer...anking-2012.pdf

    Belle Air

    VLM

    Bulgarian Air

    Croation Air

    Czech Airlines

    Air Tahiti

    Air Tahiti Nui

    IcelandAir

    Aer Lingus

(thinking of that Ryanair is MIA too)

s*d this - too many to even think about....

And I'm only thinking of jet operators - they haven't bothered to list probably a couple of hundred more - what's the survey worth? Probably what it cost you.....

SICHERHEITSRATE DER 60 GRÖSSTEN FLUGGESELLSCHAFTEN WELTWEITs

Safety rate OF THE 60 LARGEST World Airlines -Good old Ryanair number 32. SAS bottom 10 too at number 50

  8. Although this is a high profile case, it could just be that it was an accident. How many times have I not seen the police motosai just pull into traffic right in front of cars.

Most people here panic when they have been in accident and just flee, even when not at fault.

    Just sayin'...

Then rather than apologize and send condolences to the family he decided to pay for someone else to take the blame.

Should we put this down to yet more panic as this is a high profile case ?

    Just sayin'..

  9. If the red shirts hadn't burned it down - they wouldn't have scaffolding around it to repair it. Pretty obvious I would have thought?

I Certainly hope the dodgy construction company and the RED Shirt criminals can be made accountable for these unfortunate alas additional victims.

What did the red shirts have to do with it?

The -vulcan type- logic here is beyond the grasp of most of us. But as Activo & bdenner can tell us if a farang has an accident in Thailand it is his/her fault as without them being in Thailand there would not of been an accident.

These people sometimes stay in bed as they are scared of the havoc and mayhem they might cause by getting up.

  10. Around 4,000 million cubic metres (a million gallons) of water per second is expected to flow into the capital's Chao Phraya river, which coupled with high sea levels surging from the other direction, could cause floods in parts of the city.

This semed alot of water to me too. I tried to work out how many kilometers long &how many meters high this wall of water decending on Bangkok is but got lost in culculations. But it seems 1 cubic meter = 264 us gallons or 219 uk gallons ( nearest round figure ) So 1 million (us gallons ) = 3784 cubic meters of water. not as stated 4000 million. Is sombody´s math worse than mine. I know somebody´s will be better and who will be able to make gallon or cubic meter out of all of this.!!!!!!

  11. I dont deny this could be true but unfortunately we never get to hear the reds point of view..so its always one sided information.

Exactly. When he says "From my understanding " should read From my understanding as a vigorous and outspoken supporter of Abhisit.

Thanong Khanthong has been a vigorous and outspoken supporter of the People’s Alliance for Democracy and the 2006 military coup.

Thanong tends to see plots everywhere, and concludes with a plea: “You have to truly understand and appreciate the Thai constitutional monarchy. Don’t be fooled by politicians, the police, public prosecutors and some academics.”

    And Thanong Khanthong

We now know it was the farangs in thailand led by Jeff & Conor who wer behind the burning & looting !!
