I believe masks helps, but have you ever picked up your child from school and checked their mask out? My sons masks is filthy, no way that is healthy for him. These kids grab the front of their masks all day, they fall on the floor, etc.

Get rid of the mask mandate and ill be more inclined to return to TH. Living here in the US at the moment with no mask requirements and its wonderful

There is so much garbage everywhere I have gone in this country over the last 15 years. Side of the road, in a field, on the beach.. the way it gets dumped into the environment here is heart breaking. There is an island of trash floating in the Gulf of Thailand thats many KM long. Happy to see the reduction of plastic bags at 7 and such, but it would take education and decades of clean up to really turn things around here...

its all about treatments now... vaccines cannot keep up with variants. The pill, the IV drip... all need to be the focus of this government now that vaccines are readily available and not as effective as against Delta & Wuhan strains ... the next variant will be even more transmissible, its endemic

It's news already that cloth coverings don't slow the spread of Omicron as with previous variants (agree or not) .. and before you jump on my back, we wear masks everywhere and are very careful. The news is Omicron is that contagious .. luckily its "mild" compared to Delta and the original strain, still waiting to hear how mild, triple vaccinated friend was just hospitalized with Omicron, he and 49 of his colleagues all caught it on a business trip to NYC. Wasting your time and energy thinking it will improve... it is what it is, be defensive and drive a safe car. We do not do Tuk Tuks, Motorbikes, and avoid walking on the streets...

Just got out of quarantine- about 10 hours in total. Super easy, glad they PCR upon arrival, too many people can fake their results to fly

It’s probably in the wild, globally speaking, agree that targeted restrictions from Africa could slow the eventually spread (if its got a competitive advantage)

As previously shared, we just arrived and the whole process has been simple and easy… totally reasonable

We are at the Airport Novotel now, arrived last night at midnight, 1 person in line in front of us at check in, PCR test took a few minutes, no line. Arrival about an hour earlier with paper work (QR code, PCR test results) was very smooth, lots of staff to process us. They ask for boarding pass, QR code, and test results. Do not fold your QR code, they cannot scan it… you can also show them a copy of your code on a phone. They would need to scale once numbers of travelers increase.. but for now, I would say come… waiting for our results now, was told 6 to 10 hours, we are at 9 hours now and no results yet… they said as soon as results come, we can go if negative. Its basically test and go… just waiting in a hotel room. I would not want to be waiting at the airport with the kids, etc.

Asking for a friend, and ill be sure to visit Pattaya to do my part (even though I normally don’t go) lol - Su Su Bill!
