Morons? What an idiotic statement. They were trying to help. Maybe not experts on assisting those with a medical problem as you seem to be.😣

Perhaps "moron" is a bit harsh, but I agree that there are many red flags. Even the title of the article is a red flag. You don't need to be an expert to know that you are not supposed to "massage" a person with a seizure, and you shouldn't do chest compressions unless they start breathing. It sounds like they could have done more harm than good. It could also be a case of poor reporting about his condition; maybe he did actually stop breathing.

I don't understand what point you are trying to make here.....

But, Putin coincidentally added LGBTQ+ to the list of extremist organisations on the same day as the Crocus attack.

Maybe if he wasn't terrorising this ' dangerous 'community he could have focused more on protecting his citizens from Isis.

Perhaps this community will also become another scapegoat for the Crocus attack beside Ukraine.

Russia adds 'LGBT movement' to list of extremist and terrorist organisations (msn.com)

That's what one does when Muslim gay dudes from Ukraine attack your citizens.

    Op - we’re in Japan every year…

(and also here in Japan right now - just checked in online while slow eaters finished their Ramen)

Japan immigration are nothing like Korea who are particularly nasty towards Thai women in a tit-for-tat immigration battle (Thailand is also particularly hard on Koreans coming here)…

She’ll have no issues entering Japan (I see plenty of single Thai women in the Immigration queue) - no need to worry about language issues…   She’ll be able to work the transport out (all part of the experience !)…

The excellent thing about Japan - no scams so she cab feel confident about stepping into the unknown.

Easy come with AIS, True, DTAC - just get a roaming package for a week.

Thank you. How's the weather in July? My Google research seems to indicate unbearably hot and rainy.

About your last question, Japan is in general a very very safe country. However, English is not very widely spoken and, assuming she cannot speak/read basic Japanese, she might be a little confused with transportation, ordering food, and enjoying her trip in full. Make sure she has and can use at least a good translator phone app, preferably one that can read written Japanese. Also check that her phone will work over there, including internet. eg, AIS sells SIM cards here in Thailand that will work overseas, called sim2fly. I am sure other providers have similar. Other than that, it should be a great experience!

Thanks a lot. Yes, I am concerned about all those things you mentioned too, but only asked about the visa on this forum. With regards to sim cards, I've started using eSims through an app called Airalo. It's really cheap and can be used in most countries. It's very convenient as you don't have to change your SIM card. I highly recommend it.

  5. Hello hive mind,

My wife all of a sudden wants to travel to Japan with her daughter for 5 days. I know they officially don't need a visa, but is it like Korea where Thais often get denied entry despite a visa? Anyone have any experience with this? It would be her first solo trip, am I worrying too much?

Not many healthy 6 year old children suddenly have a heart attack and die without any prior conditions.

I would say it's not as uncommon as you think. Out of the millions of children across Thailand, I'm sure there are a few that die of a heart attack suddenly. I am a teacher, and from my experience, strokes, heart problems, other things happen out of the blue. I've experienced a couple of deaths of children. Although, I don't know of any teacher that wouldn't call an ambulance in that situation; truly negligent.

I just happened to hear a German tropical disease specialist doctor giving a talk on it last week. He highly recommended it and said there were no side effects.

Where does Thaiger find these stories?

    And, why?

Seems to me that too many sensational stores finally become less sensational, the more we read of them.

No longer that attractive to click upon.

And, maybe someone there at their site should keep this in mind.

    Who knows....

What is your point exactly? Much more exciting story than a story about a taxi driver returning a wallet.
