  1. Double, compared to what? Last year? No way. Very misleading title.
  2. Perhaps "moron" is a bit harsh, but I agree that there are many red flags. Even the title of the article is a red flag. You don't need to be an expert to know that you are not supposed to "massage" a person with a seizure, and you shouldn't do chest compressions unless they start breathing. It sounds like they could have done more harm than good. It could also be a case of poor reporting about his condition; maybe he did actually stop breathing.
  3. The CPI is not decreasing. If the inflation rate is positive, then CPI is increasing. It is increasing at a slower rate, but still increasing.
  4. I've seen that someone doing that in Bangkok before, at 6:00 in the morning as I was going to work. Highly disturbing. (Thai guy though).
  5. That's what one does when Muslim gay dudes from Ukraine attack your citizens.
  6. I was once at a "monk party" (a party for a young male becoming a monk) and witnessed a Thai male knock down a woman. I put him in a headlock. None of the other Thai men intervened. I found out later, the woman was his mother 😟
  7. Is Riyadh good, or bad? I have a layover there this summer.
  8. Why did two people give confused emojis? Wise does offer better exchange rates than banks; that's its selling point. The exchange rate makes a big difference on a large sum of money.
  9. Thank you. How's the weather in July? My Google research seems to indicate unbearably hot and rainy.
  10. Thanks a lot. Yes, I am concerned about all those things you mentioned too, but only asked about the visa on this forum. With regards to sim cards, I've started using eSims through an app called Airalo. It's really cheap and can be used in most countries. It's very convenient as you don't have to change your SIM card. I highly recommend it.
  11. Hello hive mind, My wife all of a sudden wants to travel to Japan with her daughter for 5 days. I know they officially don't need a visa, but is it like Korea where Thais often get denied entry despite a visa? Anyone have any experience with this? It would be her first solo trip, am I worrying too much?
  12. I would say it's not as uncommon as you think. Out of the millions of children across Thailand, I'm sure there are a few that die of a heart attack suddenly. I am a teacher, and from my experience, strokes, heart problems, other things happen out of the blue. I've experienced a couple of deaths of children. Although, I don't know of any teacher that wouldn't call an ambulance in that situation; truly negligent.
  13. I just happened to hear a German tropical disease specialist doctor giving a talk on it last week. He highly recommended it and said there were no side effects.
  14. Why is his name in quotation marks? Is it not really him?
  15. LOL, and what is the point of this comment? No offense, but I think it's interesting to read about a guy beating up a potential rapist and saving his daughter. Good for him, cheers up my day.
  16. What is your point exactly? Much more exciting story than a story about a taxi driver returning a wallet.
  17. They're better than most. Other popular Thai YouTubers are really annoying; these guys seem pretty normal. They don't try to do things or act outrageous to get views, they're just hanging out doing normal things. The wife watches them all the time.
